About the home

A peaceful idyllic rural location, overlooking the breathtaking scenery of the river Barbate valley, La Breña y Las Marismas National Park and the hills of the World Heritage 'pueblo blanco' (whitewashed village) of Vejer de la Frontera (www.vejer.com).

Within easy reach, there are long stretches of natural, unspoilt, sandy beaches, El Palmar,Conil, Bolonia,as well as villages with traditional Andalusian arts and crafts, fiestas, and restaurants serving fresh local produce.

A wide range of available activities include golf, 4WD & quad-biking, horse riding and wildlife safaris in the Monteenmedio Golf & Country Club (10 mins away - www.monteenmedio.com), water sports, the world famous horse shows, flamenco and sherry-tasting in Jerez, or a day-trip to Seville, Cadiz, Gibraltar or Morocco.

Within a short drive away there are also several other excellent golf courses such as Montecastillo, Sherry Golf Jerez, Novo Sancti Petri, Alcaidesa Links, San Roque & Benalup.

The Costa de la Luz region

This region of La Costa de La Luz enjoys wonderful weather and unspoiled nature reserves.
It is a taste of real Andalucia, White villages, horses, rich historic old towns and beautiful gastronomie.
The Atlantic corner of Andalucia can be as exiciting as riding the waves of Tarifa or as refined as the "dancing" horses of Jerez.Inland from the beaches that run north to Cape Trafalgar, the strong winds attract the kite-surfing crowd.There are several Golf courses for those who love this great sport, in Benalup, Chiclana and Montenmedio being the closer to our house.
They are so many beautiful places to visit like Cadiz,f amous for its Carnival. Jerez the city where sherry is produced, viist one of the bodegas they all have english tours.Don't forget to visit the Horse show it's an amazing experience. Enjoy the beaches Bolonia, Zahara, El Palmar, La Barrosa. Kms of white sand and wonderful waves. You cannot love your holiday in this part of Spain.

The property is situated in the rural area of El Soto,next to the Monteenmedio Golf and Country club.The nearest town is the historic Vejer de la Fra.The closest airport is Jerez de la Frontera ,80k distance, around 50 min drive.
They are direct flights from London Stansted and from Frankfurt am Main with Ryanair.
Sevilla's airport is 1h 30min drive ,Gibraltar is also 1h 30 min. (Arlines :Clickair, Ryanair, Iberia, BA, Monarch)
We are located in the exit km 41 N-340 .
It's cheap to hire cars at these aiports.On line booking recomended.

just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our week on the costa de la luz. we don't know spain very well (couple of successful trips to barcelona and an unsuccessful trip to nerja with friends many years ago!), but we were blown away with the beauty of the area

the pics of your property did not do it justice, it was so much more beautiful! we enjoyed hearing the wind in the pine trees adjacent to the property and of course, the cicadas (?). we also spotted several interesting birds

we managed an evening in cadiz, which we loved, but of course, who could not enjoy eating up in vejer every night. we also visited cabo de trafalga, zahara and barbate (the latter was in the evening, where we enjoyed tapas with all the spanish tourists!)

altogether, a lovely trip, altho my idea of a stay in sevilla was a mistake, as it was simply too hot to really appreciate the city. we should have stayed down by the coast
