About the home

The Villa itself is extremely spacious and sleeps six people while to the rear of the house is a small cottage, which sleeps a further three, but the accommodations are only available to the same group. Within the grounds too is a covered carport and a very efficient, stone built, covered barbecue. The terrace for eating al fresco is also covered to give shade but looks towards the swimming pool and the sea. Scopello is 3 kilometres away for shopping.

This modern Villa is in a spacious garden of lawn and palm trees, and in a small residential area. To the front of the house are the swimming pool (salted sea water) and furnished terraces all overlooking the sea down below. The panorama is stunning and steps descending the cliff face reach the rock-edged sea. The area is a seaside and summer holiday resort, 39 kilometres from Trapani in the territory of Castellammare del Golfo in the northwest, a town with a 14th century castle. Scopello is also on the border of the Lo Zingaro nature reserve.

For up to 6 persons, entrance to the Villa is from the covered terrace into one of two sitting/dining rooms. The kitchen has cooking hob, fridge and dish-washer. One toilet. On the first floor the landing has doors to a spacious terrace with sea view. One double-bedded room has en suite bathroom and doors to the terrace. One twin and one double bedroom have an adjacent shower room with WC etc.

For 7 to 9 people, the cottage has a sitting/dining room and the kitchen area has cooking hob, waist-high cooking fire and fridge. A bathroom with WC and washing machine, and a shower room. One twin/double bedded room and a single bedded room.

The Trapani / Scopello area

Scopello is on the border of the Lo Zingaro nature reserve;the well preserved landscape is particulary beautiful and interesting . The area is known for tuna and "blue fish" as well as Moscato and Marsala, known as the "liquid gold" . There are also the ancient mosaics of Cappella Palatina to visit in Palermo.

“Family Break in Sicily” We have just returned from a fabulous week staying at Villa Lilie nr Scopello. When you see pictures on the Internet you are never sure whether the real thing will match your expectations; in this case our expectations were exceeded. The villa is large, beautifully kept, well kitted out and in a glorious location. You need a car to get to the shops and out and about but there is a short walk down to the rocky cove where you can swim and snorkel in clear, blue water, and a 10-15 minute walk to the beach. However, once you've bought your provisions you can just sit round the pool, chill out and enjoy the sun, the view and a refreshing swim. There's a great BBQ area for simple alfresco dining. The owner lives nearby and is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it; we will definitely go back.

“Amazing Sicily Villa and view of the Mediterranean” We were two families staying at the Villa in late June 2011 for two week. The villa is situated at the north shore of Sicily, near Scopello, just by the cliffs above the Mediterranean. The villa is large and there were plenty of room for the 9 of us. Still, the main time by the villa we spent outdoors at the terrace and the swimming pool. The evenings at the terrace, having dinner and socializing, were amazing; what a view. Nearby you have the beach of Guidaloca, 10 minutes walk distance. If you like pebble beach, rock diving, and snorkeling you have a perfect beautiful place just by the villa, with a pathway down to the sea. The city of Scopello is just 5-10 minutes by car and on the way you have a shop with everything you need. And just around the corner you have all of Sicily sights.
