Beautifully furnished, this English country house is elegantly furnished throughout, with spacious accommodation for up to 23 guests in nine bedrooms including two with a four poster bed.

North Devon beaches, Bideford, North Devon’s principle town of Barnstaple and many local attractions can be easily reached. A bookcase-lined hall (filled with books) leads to the extensive dining room where three floor-to-ceiling French doors lead out to the lawns and swimming pool. Elegantly furnished, with a large table, to seat 24, this room too boasts a wood panelled original fireplace and contains a pool table and seating areas.
The newly fitted kitchen is attractively decorated with granite topped units, a table with seating, a blue, four-oven AGA, plus a 6 burner gas cooker, microwave and all the little extras guests need. Off the kitchen is a scullery housing a commercial dishwasher, sink and original crockery shelving, while to the rear of the kitchen is a second kitchen with freezer, sink and table.
The original wash room houses the washing machine. A corridor with original red quarry tiling leads to the servant’s entrance - ideal for muddy boots and shoes!! A second servants’ staircase leads to the first floor.
Off of the main hallway is the stairway leading to the nine bedrooms. Eight of the bedrooms are en-suite and most are very spacious with stunning views. All have a TV. 3 double en-suite bedrooms, one with balcony, a balconied family room with a double & 2 single beds plus en-suite, 2 en-suite four poster bedrooms, a triple bedroom with a king size bed, a single bed and en-suite, an en-suite double bedroom with 2 additional single beds and a twin bedroom. In addition there are 2 family bathrooms and one toilet.
All fuel, power and linen included. Logs and coal for the fires can be purchased on site.
Further details outdoors: Beaford House is surrounded by tranquil countryside and set in large gardens and grounds. With a children’s outdoor play area, a BBQ, chairs and plenty of garden furniture provided. Many horses and ponies fill the owners’ surrounding fields.
The fenced outdoor heated swimming pool (Whitsun-mid Sept) is shared with 3 small holiday cottages.

A large attached Ballroom can be hired, which includes a Civil Wedding Licence, for the week, and the option for outside caterers to be brought in. This room is very well equipped with a bar area, large open fire and ladies and gents cloakrooms.
A cautionary damages deposit of £500 is required upon booking.
