Il Melus Maris nasce dalla ristrutturazione di uno stabile, anni '70, abbandonato al sole, al vento e alla salsedine distante dal mare solo 400 mt.
Situato all'interno della Riserva Naturale del Plemmirio, a 200 mt dal Faro più a Sud di Siracusa, a 400 mt dal famoso scoglio dell'Elefante, luogo perfetto per amanti del diving, della mountain bike e della macchia mediterranea.
Oasi di profondo relax, accarezzata da una piacevole brezza che soffia anche in piena estate, troverete camere ampie, comode, silenziose, con giardino privato, dove poter trascorrere uno splendido soggiorno in coppia, tra amici o con i propri bambini.
I materiali usati e la vegetazione appartengono al distretto di Siracusa, come la pietra di Noto usata per le camere e la roccia di Modica usata per i pavimenti della grande corte centrale o gli alberi di limone di Siracusa, gli aranci Sanguinelli e i fichi d'India tipici siciliani.
La corte, situata adiacente alla struttura, è luogo ideale per gustare le succulenti colazioni in tipico stile siciliano, godere dei momenti di lettura e relax ammirando lo scorcio della piscina e godendo degli agrumi che con la loro disposizione a scacchiera creano armonia, colore e profumi intensi.
I giardini privati danno la possibilità di vivere la vacanza in totale privacy e libertà. E' possibile portare con se il proprio cane o gatto (previa autorizzazione), concedendo loro una vacanza all'aria aperta libero da costrizioni ma sempre a voi vicini.

Aspettavo la sua recensione, ero certo che sarebbe arrivata e per il tempo che mi ha dedicato, la ringrazio. Ovviamente rispetto il suo punto di vista e la sua esperienza. Ovviamente non la condivido e ritengo che certi temi sono frutto della sua fervida immaginazione. Però, tra tutti gli ospiti di questa stagione, la voglio ricordare come la persona che riconosce a prima vista i peli maschili da quelli femminili, che dice di essersi portata i teli per il figlio, ma usa tutti quelli forniti dalla struttura (compresi quella piscina), che vuole sapere le nostre regole di sanificazione, ma non conosce neanche il disciplinare cosa consiglia (non obbliga) di fare, di chi parla di cucina poco curata, ma non disdegna di cucinare in quella cucina a pranzo e cena, di chi chiede all'una di notte perchè ci siano cosi tante rane nella struttura (neanche fossero topi o maiali), chi pretende una culla in camera per il figlio, ma poi non vuole pagarla 10€ al giorno, di chi dice che sta andando via per il check out alle 11 e poi sta in struttura fino alle 13 ed infine di chi rompe un lettino e neanche ha il garbo di segnalarlo. Alla fine dei conti, la sua compagna di viaggio, proprio alcuni giorni di prima, mi aveva avvertito che lei era una persona molto strana, capace di far saltare un viaggio a ferragosto (ancora da saldare) per un qualunque motivo. Io posso solo confermare il punto di vista della sua amica. Credo che persone come lei, con le sue aspettattive e le sue certezze, debbano andare solo nei 5 stelle (ma li si spende oltre i cento€ al giorno). Quelle sono strutture adatte, ai suo agi e alla sua altezza. Evitate le ville di un povero e maleducato proprietario.

Why can't I call Carmelo (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Carmelo (the owner) a message.

If Carmelo (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
