A beautiful old family house with a large hanging garden and swimming pool (6x12) nestled in the middle of a tiny village, San Giovanni d'Asso, in the Siennese countryside: the comfort to be in a village and the privacy of a place hidden at the sight. Using the words of our past guests: "your home is beautiful, welcoming and comfortable" - "the central location of the villa is perfect for visiting the many hill towns of central Italy" -" the accomodations at la CONSUMA were better than we expected from the web description"

Villa Consuma is spread on 2 levels: 4 double bedrooms, 4 twin bedded room (in two of them the beds can be joined upon request), 7 complete bathrooms, 2 dining rooms, 2 sitting rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a large sunny terrace. The villa, historic house, is wide, beautiful, elegantly furnished. The house can comfortably hold a party of 16; by closing 2 doors THE HOUSE IS SUITABLE FOR A PARTY OF 8: PRICE UPON REQUEST. Wi Fi, satellite TV, central heating, air conditioning at the mezanine and first floor, ceiling fans at the ground floor, baby cot and high chair, daily maid service from Monday through Friday, daily pool manteinance, private parking.

Upon request first shopping, first dinner, other meals, cooking lessons, guided truffle tour, wine tasting in the ancient cellar of the house. A perfect place to relax, visiting old charateristc villages, tasting very special food and wine (we are close to the Brunello area). But you can also decide to go walking or with your bycicle, or you can be tempted from a trip on a balloon. Truffle hunting with a guide and truffle dogs could be a new experience or may be better to relax at one of the various SPA in the area (Rapolano,Bagno Vignoni)? Do not forget riding a horse or ...do absolutely nothing enjoying the sweetness of the day, SE NON QUI DOVE?

The Tuscany region

Tuscany doesn't need any description: art, culture, monuments, food, wine, make this region a spot you must visit at least once in your lifetime.

San Giovanni d'Asso

San Giovanni d'Asso is the typical rural Tuscan village: it lies in a not yet well known area of the countryside near Siena. An ancient castle, a Romanesque church back to XI century, a magic wood, wonderful sunsets make this place very special. It is a tiny village where you can find a bank, post office, supermarket, chemist shop, butcher shop, cafè, 2 nice restaurants. A beautiful spot in the middle of an area rich in art and history: Montalcino (20 km), Pienza(24 Km), Bagno Vignoni (20 km), Montepulciano (30 km) are just a few destination you can reach in less than half an hour driving. Siena, the town famous for Il PALIO is 40 minutes driving from the village (the Palio is run twice a year on July 2nd and August 16th), Florence at 1 hour and a half. CAR ESSENTIAL..

IN NOVEMBER A FAMOUS TRUFFLE FAIR TAKES PLACE IN THE ANCIENT CASTLE (2nd and 3rd weekend of the month).

It is also an ideal period to taste the new oil (OLIO NUOVO )

"unforgettable tuscan paradise"

Wonderful historic house, charming atmosphere, you feel at home.
We were a group of 16 friends, the house was perfect, nothing was missing.
Nice accommodations very clean, housekeeping every day.
Unforgettable breakfast on the terrace in front of the scenic, lunch in the beautiful garden and dinner by the cooker (so delicious!!)
Federica, the owner , and all the staff are kind and helpful. If you need an address, do not hesitate to ask her, especially for tasting Brunello.
One of the best places toto stay for visiting and appreciating Tuscany!
