The Tuscany / Siena Province region

Radicondoli is a perfectly preserved ancient town in the Colli Senesi. The best months for guaranteeing good weather are from May to October, and for warm weather we would reccommend May , June , July , August and September. This little town is located in one of the most beautiful parts of Tuscany . Radicondoli is situated in a very convenient area as a 20-minute drive will take the visitor to Siena, and from there to Florence on the fast road, alternative destinations include San Gimignano, Pisa and even, for the more adventurous, Rome is a 150 / 200 km drive (1.5 - 2hrs) on the fast A1 (Autosole) motorway.

The Radicondoli area

During the months of July and August there takes place Theatre Festival in Radicondoli, The Town Festival.
The house is in the centre of the town near to 4 restaurants where you can eat some of the most traditional Tuscan dishes and Italian recipes, 3 supermarkets and 2 souvenir shops.

“Fabulous house in glorious location” Lovely welcome from Elsa - an fantastic traditional meal mid week. The house was beautiful and spacious with everything you could need. Children - 8, 10, 12, 13 loved house and garden - especially the tortoise! Traditional hill top village with plenty of character and amenities -shop, restaurants, bank, tourist info, bakery, Breathtaking view over countryside. Would love to return in near future

“All the Comforts of Home, But Better” We have stayed at IL Torrione twice now, and plan to return in May of 2012. Great hosts, always available for help, but always respectful of your desire for privacy. Elisa greeted us, her mother as well, both extremely gracious, welcoming and even gave us an Italian dinner one night to enjoy in our garden, Wild Boar as I recall. It was superlative. Facility was immaculate, all the units features, from gas oven to toaster, fridge etc. worked fine. Enjoyed being able to walk to all our needs, bakery, market, restaurants, nice visitor center, bank, and countryside walking. Everyone in town was friendly, and helpful, even with the differing language. Hope to return in May of next year. Cheers to Elisa, Simone and "Mom". Bruce and Nancy from Nova Scotia, Canada
