About the home

Casa Charlana is a beautiful detached villa with private swimming pool located in the exclusive Los Mojones area of Puerto del carmen in Lanzarote. Conveniently situated close to the golden sandy beaches and within walking distance to many excellent Canarian and international style restaurants, bars and supermarkets.

Casa Charlana has a spacious open plan lounge with fully fitted kitchen and quality furniture. The twin bedroom and family sized marble bathroom occupy the ground floor along with the kitchen and lounge/diner. The master suite and en suite bathroom are situated on the first floor with fabulous sea views from the 2 terraces.

The private pool is surrounded by sunbathing areas, a BBQ and private walled gardens.
Casa Charlana also has a gated driveway for those who wish to hire a car.

The Lanzarote region

Lanzarote is situated just 70 miles off the coast of Africa and is the most easterly of the Canary Islands. The island is 37 miles (60km) long and 12 miles (20 km) wide, making it the fourth largest island in the Canaries.

Lanzarote enjoys a mild dry climate with average daytime temperatures ranging from about 21°C in January to 29°C in August. Annual rainfall is just 140mm (5.5 inches). This makes Lanzarote the perfect year-round destination.

As with the other Canary Islands, Lanzarote is Volcanic in origin. Due to the recent eruptions during the 18th and 19th Centuries, many parts of Lanzarote appear to be from another world, often described as 'lunar' or 'Martian', so much so that parts of 'Planet of the Apes' were shot here.

Despite the Volcanic nature of the island, Lanzarote has several beautiful white beaches such as at Playa Blanca and Papagayo.

Local authority regulations on the amount and style of development mean that there is no billboard advertising and no high rise buildings in Lanzarote (with the exception of the Grand Hotel in Arrecife).

The Puerto del Carmen / Los Mojones area

Los mojones is located within the main Town of Puerto del Carmen. Located just a 5 minutes walk to the golden sandy beaches. Along the main street, adjacent to the beach, there is a multitude of international bars, restaurants and fun activities such as crazy golf for the kids. There is a large shopping centre called the 'Biosphera' ,which is just a few minutes walk from Casa Charlana, this has a multitude of Canarian and internationally recognised shops(such as Zara), bars and Cafès for you to sample. There is something for everyone in this part of Town with the Old Town Harbour being a personal favourite for authentic canarian bars and restaurants.For the more energetic, a ten minutes walk will lead you to C.C Atlantico and the main Avenida with late night clubs and bars which will keep you going until dawn.

“Perfect Location” We have just returned from having a wonderful holiday in Puerto del Carmen and made all the better by the most ideal accommodation for us. Villa Charlana is in the most perfect location, close to all amenities, walking distance to center of town and beaches it was just perfect. All ready looking forward to going back.

“little piece of paradise” wonderful location, quiet but within minutes of centre of town, fantastic views, excellent comfortable private accommodation, well looked after by staff.Follow the sun all day using all three terraces. Loved the marble staircase! Highly recommended for a relaxing holiday.Could not fault anything. jan macpherson. Feb 2011.
