When the urban madness takes its toll, at the edge of the forest, in one of the scarce towns of Prahova, atop a hill from which you may never want to leave is the town Slanic. Here is the beginning of a legend with kings and palaces, which no one knows anything about anymore... Maybe just The Green Rock that dominates Slanic might know a story or two...
Downtown there's an indicator that shows you the way to another story that is signaled in the November calendar of Slanic, a tragic accident that changed the old name of Putul Baii into Grota Mireisei (The Bride's Grotto) ... Did I make curious? ... About two minutes from these marvelous landscapes and landmarks you find Vila Portas.
In a fairytale landscape, full of hospitality and surrounded by the smell of fir trees, you can avoid the heat waves of summer or you can warm yourself by the fireplace in winter, all this while enjoying a glass of brandy or wine from the old dusty cellar .
When you feel the Sandman coming, you can relax in one of the elegant and spacious rooms located on different levels each with its own style. You may rest in the grand beds carefully garnished with special white linens sheets that will offer you a peaceful sleep.
The baths will add to the comfort with their hot steam water heated ecologically by solar panels. You will be spoiled with fine natural soaps, crafted especially for you, dear traveler!
When morning comes and the sun will grace you with its rays, the fresh air will enter your room and your gaze will be attracted by the morning dew that glistens on the grass. The smell of fresh coffee will call you to the gazebo in the yard where you can enjoy selected sweets and a healthy breakfast.
The terraces in the yard (video surveillance) awaits you with delicious food and with plum brandy and a good wine, all accompanied by the sound of old Romanian traditional music.
