Review submitted by Craig from Bristol - (Submitted: 04/09/2014)
''The villa was superb , we couldn't of asked for a more stunning villa, the view over the pool and beyond down to the coast of coral bay were in itself excellent . The interior of the property was equally as stunning with the tasteful furnishings and ample space, everything is catered for, outside the al fresco dining made the evenings even more pleasurable with the purpose built BBQ and outside ding area. For us the location was perfect as we had a rented car, everything we needed was within a 5 minute drive. I would recommend the Savvas grill and Peyia tavern for the local cuisine and on the paphos road fat mamas has always been a favourite of ours. We were recommended the watersports at Latci and took this up by hiring a boat for half a day stopping off in various picturesque lagoons along the way to the cape at the tip of the Akamas peninsula, absolutely fantastic day , value for money and would recommend it everyone. We were more than happy with the service provided by Letsrentonline . And special thanks to Steven for helping us have the best holiday we could of wished for, loved every minute of the experience. Gary and Louise were absolutely fantastic, they kept the place looking clean and tidy regularly cleaned the pool and also visited us to make sure we had everything we needed. Lovely people and an absolute pleasure to have met them, thanks to both of them for ensuring our holiday was enjoyable. To be honest I really don't think there is anything that could be improved on in regards to this property or the service provided , everything is 10/10.''
The Paphos region
Paphos combines ancient history with a cosmopolitan, modern tourist resort. The area by the coast is known as Kato Paphos and boasts a pretty little harbour and plenty of open air cafes and bars. Further inland is the old town of Paphos, known by the locals as Ktima. With its narrow streets, hustle and bustle, covered market and typically Cypriot atmosphere, it is well worth a visit. As a consequence, Paphos is on UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage list.
Cyprus is famous as the birth place of the goddess Aphrodite, Venus in Roman mythology. She is known as the Ancient Greek goddess of love and beauty. Legend says that she emerged from the sea at Aphrodite’s Rock in a surge of sea foam.
Winding up through the banana plantations after a short drive along the coast road from Paphos brings you to Peyia where the Villa Foster is located on the hillside overlooking Coral Bay. Peyia is a very typical Cypriot village. A beautiful ancient church forms the heart of the village while the narrow streets and alleyways are full of old and interesting houses adorned with colourful flowers and citrus trees. The village is still largely unspoilt with lively tavernas and friendly locals. You can also buy all your provisions including fresh meat and bread in the village stores; the early morning aroma of freshly baked bread, sweet and savoury local pastries and cakes coming from the Peyia bakery is almost too much to resist! For the more energetic types there is the local and newly opened ‘Tower Fitness Centre’.
Things to do in the area include Paphos Bird Park, reptile park, horse riding, Akamas Peninsular & Lara Beach Nature Reserve (famous for turtles), hiking/walking, buggy safaris, 4 x 4 safaris, sea caves area, sailing and many more. Amusement and water parks in Paphos are also easily accessible from Peyia, as are numerous archaeological ruins such as the Tombs of the Kings and Paphos mosaics.
If you want to get out and explore some fantastic scenery, take a trip to the Akamas Peninsula, Polis, Latchi or even Troodos mountains. The Akamas is an untouched part of Cyprus with unspoilt coastline and traditional fish taverns in stunning seaside locations. Troodos is of course the main mountain range in Cyprus, not many people know that in the winter....you can ski!

There is no criticism with regards to this villa except the post it notes asking various things ( I accept these are needed but slightly over the top here... ie please clean the BBQ no problem except… More
Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review for Villa Foster, one of our best received villas on the website. Please see response from the local managers who we have known and trusted to provide a great service for many years:
These comments have come as a bit of a surprise to us. There are no 'post it' notes whatsoever in any of our villas, we have some small laminated signs which are helpful hints and reminders for guests ie: a/c use, BBQ use, mid clean and check out info. In the information pack there is a page headed 'departure' one of the points is "please try to leave the villa as you found it and dispose of rubbish. It is extremely helpful if you can strip the beds and put the towels and sheets together in
one place separating any of your own belongings". Sometimes we ony have a few hours between guests and prefer to concentrate on other areas of preparation to ensure the highest possible standards.
With regards to the BBQ I'm sorry if the guest thought it was not clean although the BBQ is always cleaned after every booking, however if it had been mentioned at the time we would have addressed the issue immediately. I don't really know else to say when a customer raises issues 2 months after their stay. They saw myself and Gary 4 or 5 times during their stay and nothing was mentioned. We try to be as professional as possible and are more than happy to address any queries or problems our guests have. Many thanks. Lou.

"Amazing villa. Perfect wedding holiday!!"
Stayed in this villa with some friends and our 2yr old daughter for our wedding. Villa was very clean and tidy. Help was always on hand with any issues we had. One minor problem which was the drinking water. Due to issues with the local council the drinking water was being switched off during the day. The property manager made sure that we had plenty of drinking water and found out that the tanks were being filled at night so no issues with showering. This is totally beyond the owners control and shouldn't put anyone off this amazing villa. The gardens are lovely, our daughter loved running around and playing in them. Very spacious, outdoor areas were great, well equipped and tidy.

This villa was absolutely perfect for our recent holiday in Cyprus, everything you need and more, the garden is beautiful with lovely views towards the sea. Perfect location, peace and quite but not too far away from the lovely restaurants and bars in Peyia and Coral Bay, about a 2 minute drive. This villas is perfect for couples and families, would definitely recommend it.
