Noto is considered the "Capital of the Baroque," and is described as a lost paradise, a “treasure”, a gold-toned stone garden, a living book, the emblem of wealth in the Baroque age in Sicily.

It is masterpieces, recently declared humanity heritage by UNESCO. A stay in Noto will allow you to visit the wild south-western side of Sicily and its incredible cultural and natural treasures. You can enjoy the most beautiful beaches of the island, for example Eloro (ask people for directions if you want to find it, there are no markings!), Marchesa beach, or Cala Mosca inside the natural reserve of Vendicari.

Spare your time also to visit the several baroque villages in the nearby, among which Modica, Ragusa Ibla, Scicli, besides Ortigia (the old Siracusa) and its Greek Theatre, Ispica Caves, Cava Grande del Cassibile, and many many others. We suggest you to spend at least two weeks in this astonishing part of Sicily, the minimum to enjoy its masterpieces and its inimitable cookery. You can easily reach from here Noto,Syracuse,Palazzolo Acreide,Modica,Ragusa,Capo Passero

Do not miss the famous and suggestive "Infiorata", a picturesque festival to welcome the Spring, which takes place every third Sunday of May, since 1980. Local artists work nightime to prepare colourful real flowers carpets all over the streets, every year with a different theme. The whole week is animated by concerts, exhibitions and festivals.

In the south - eastern corner of Sicily there is the province of Syracuse, one of the most appreciated areas where tourists can enjoy both the awe-inspiring heights and lave-flows of Mt Etna, and trendy villages like Taormina, Caltagirone and Piazza Armerina.

If you are an food lover, you shouldn't miss Sicilian food: fish, meat, sweets (mandorle, torroni, mustazzola, granite al limone) and wines (Moscato di Noto, Moscato di Siracusa, Eloro, Nero d'Avola).
