The French Riviera - Cote d'Azur region
The Côte d'Azur lies between the mountains peaks of the Alps and the shimmering turquoise Mediterranean. It has been the playground of Europe since the 19th century when it became a popular holiday destination for the rich and famous. It remains to this day, one of the most sought after destinations in France and is ideal for family and group holidays as well as romantic city breaks.
Agreeably named, Nice is the capital of the Alpes-Maritimes. It is a city that stays alive and active all year round. There is plenty to see and do and something to suit all tastes. With approximately 300 days of sunshine, it is renowned for its long hot summers and cooling sea breezes which help to maintain a pleasant temperature.
Beautifully situated, between Cannes and Menton, Nice offers easy access by train or bus allowing you to explore many other interesting towns along this famous coastline. Day trips to Monaco, Italy and some of the surrounding hilltop Provençal villages are all possible.
This colourful and lively city has so much to offer that it is hard to know where to begin!
Relax and soak up the sun on the 4km of beaches along the 'Promenade des Anglais', enjoy the enticing restaurants and sidewalk cafés where you can just watch the world go by.
Meander through the enchanting old town with its typical French market in the Cours Saleya and interesting shops selling all manner of local produce and Provencal gifts. For those whose interests lie particularly in culture, explore the many museums and art galleries in town including the Matisse Museum, Chagall Museum and the renowned Museum of Contemporary Art.
At night, the city offers some of the best entertainment on the coast with numerous bars often with live music, Casinos and a selection of nightclubs to choose from. Nice and surrounding areas also hold a huge number of events and festivals through out the year, some of the most popular ones include:
January - New Year Concert (Nice Acropolis)

"Fabulous flat - can't wait to return"
We stayed in this flat in October '14 and it was fantastic! Very centrally located on a bustling street close to all amenities and the beach. However this apartment is at the back of the block and was extremely quiet. It's 2 blocks behind the world famous Negresco hotel, so very centrally located. We could walk town and even to the old town. There was a supermarket a few doors down that sold everything you could possibly want. It is also walking distance from the train station so we went to Cannes for the day and also Monaco It's a real home from home and the owner has thought of everything. Every cupboard I opened contained something else I would not have expected in a rental holiday apartment. Plenty of tea bags, coffee and those type of items like oil, salt, pepper, sugar that you don't really want to buy if you are only there for a week. Loads of cupboard space and the wifi never let me down!! There were even umbrellas. Fabulous waterfall shower in the bathroom really made it for me and there was constant hot water. Can't wait to get back there and do some more exploring of the area. We had a great trip and would have no hesitation in booking this apartment again.

"A fantastic vacation rental"
This is a fantastic vacation rental. It is so close to the Promenade des Anglais, has a lovely baker's next door and a Casino supermarket next to it. Its location is ideal and is really quiet. The appartment was exceptionally clean on arrival. It is really spacious and contains all the mod-cons and anything you could wish for. The shower is excellent. It is wonderful to have breakfast on the balcony with the sun shine beaming down on you. The air-conditioning is marvellous. We will definitely be back . Merci mille fois!

"Very comfortable and well equipped apartment."
This apartment was fantastic and had everything we needed for a weeks stay in Nice. It is beautifully decorated in a minimal and classy style and very well equipped, it even provides guests with a sun umbrella and beach mats which were very useful for taking to the public beaches. The location is perfect, less than 5 minutes from the boulevard and beaches. The apartment also has a whole folder of tourist information; bus and train timetables and guides to local attractions which were really useful in helping us plan our day trips. In addition the apartment is very quiet despite its central location and has very powerful air conditioning which made it very comfortable in July. Our highlight was having dinner on the balcony as the sun was setting. I highly recommend staying in this apartment.

"Excellent apartment with terrific location"
We stayed here for a week and and the standard of the apartment was excellent. The kitchen appliances are all excellent and very user friendly with full selection of crockery, utensils, glasses, pans etc. The shower is terrific with both a rain shower and also the needle spray head. Very nicely finished also. The bedroom is nice with a comfortable bed and nice linen. The location is perfect with a bakery and good size supermarket 20 yards down the road and a rottiserie which sells freshly cooked chickens a further 20 yards. The prom is 3/4 mins walk from the apartment and the train station is approx 10 - 15 min walk. The only down side for us was that it had a very small balcony which didn't see the sun after very early in the morning but this was overcome with all the other positives. Overall an excellent apartment in a great location. Looking forward to going back.

"Perfect holiday vacation apartment"
We loved everything about this apartment - from its excellent location near the promenade, shops, supermarkets, bus stops and entertainment venues, to the decor (modern and clean), the facilities (hot water on demand, great information booklet and folder, equipped with everything you could possibly need) and the quiet to come back to after a long days sight seeing. We'll most definitely be back!

You will not be disappointed if you book this lovely apartment. It is very clean & comfortable and provides all mod cons. It really is a home away from home with virtually everything you need supplied. The owners really have thought of everything. The balcony is small but big enough for two people to sit and enjoy a meal overlooking an internal courtyard. The location is excellent and you will find all the supermarkets/chemists/tabacs in easy reach. It is also very close to the beach front and allows easy access to all the restaurant & shopping streets. All in all, I would highly recommend this apartment and would not hesitate to return.

"Comfortable, quiet and convenient."
This is a very modern, clean, bright, well equipped and comfortable apartment within 10 minutes walk of the town centre and just a couple of minutes from the Promenade des Anglais., There are numerous restaurants and take aways, two Casino supermarkets and an Intermarche within a couple of steps of the apartment. The nearest beach is Hi Beach where one can access either private or public facilities. A regular bus service from a stop across the road or on the promenade serves most places you will want to visit. Many thanks to Service Riviera for a very warm welcome and for the folder in the apartment which contains all the information anyone could possibly require for the enjoyment of one's stay. I would recommend this apartment to anybody who wants proximity to the buzz of the centre but also a good night's sleep

"A cool, crisp, clean haven in Nice"
What we liked most about the flat is that everything is clean, crisp and neat the moment you enter the door. Everything is new from the crockery and cutlery to the amazing shower which is an experience in itself! The flat is quiet, in a quiet block with quiet neighbours and it is just a little way out of the hustle and bustle of the centre of town which we actually prefer because if we'd been out all day walking, sightseeing or reading on the beach all we wanted was some quiet and stillness to relax in. Every morning we would go for a little run along the promenade which was lovely as the flat is so close to the promenade. The buses to almost everywhere in Nice and it's environs, went from just down the road and there were a wealth of supermarkets, bakeries and fishmongers within a block of the flat. All in all a perfect place to getaway to which I would recommend to anyone who needs a bit of space and relaxation on their holiday.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at this apartment. It had just about everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Its location was first class - handy for the beach, shops and airport bus, and buses generally, and not too long a walk to the railway station. It is an elegant, well furnished apartment and the kitchen had everything you could want or need. Thoroughly recommended.
