The French Riviera - Cote d'Azur region
The Côte d'Azur lies between the mountains peaks of the Alps and the shimmering turquoise Mediterranean. It has been the playground of Europe since the 19th century when it became a popular holiday destination for the rich and famous. It remains to this day, one of the most sought after destinations in France and is ideal for family and group holidays as well as romantic city breaks.
Agreeably named, Nice is the capital of the Alpes-Maritimes. It is a city that stays alive and active all year round. There is plenty to see and do and something to suit all tastes. With approximately 300 days of sunshine, it is renowned for its long hot summers and cooling sea breezes which help to maintain a pleasant temperature.
Beautifully situated, between Cannes and Menton, Nice offers easy access by train or bus allowing you to explore many other interesting towns along this famous coastline. Day trips to Monaco, Italy and some of the surrounding hilltop Provençal villages are all possible.
This colourful and lively city has so much to offer that it is hard to know where to begin!
Relax and soak up the sun on the 4km of beaches along the 'Promenade des Anglais', enjoy the enticing restaurants and sidewalk cafés where you can just watch the world go by.
Meander through the enchanting old town with its typical French market in the Cours Saleya and interesting shops selling all manner of local produce and Provencal gifts. For those whose interests lie particularly in culture, explore the many museums and art galleries in town including the Matisse Museum, Chagall Museum and the renowned Museum of Contemporary Art.
At night, the city offers some of the best entertainment on the coast with numerous bars often with live music, Casinos and a selection of nightclubs to choose from. Nice and surrounding areas also hold a huge number of events and festivals through out the year, some of the most popular ones include:
January - New Year Concert (Nice Acropolis)
February - Nice Street Carnival and the Menton Fete du Citron
March - The Boat Show (Nice Port) and the Paris-Nice International Cycling Race
April - Easter Hunt (Pheonix Park) and the Monaco Masters Tennis Tournament
May - Monaco Grand Prix and Cannes Film Festival
June - Sacred Music festival (Churches in the old town) and Street Music festivals

"Fabulous flat - can't wait to return"
We stayed in this flat in October '14 and it was fantastic! Very centrally located on a bustling street close to all amenities and the beach. However this apartment is at the back of the block and was extremely quiet. It's 2 blocks behind the world famous Negresco hotel, so very centrally located. We could walk town and even to the old town.
There was a supermarket a few doors down that sold everything you could possibly want.
It is also walking distance from the train station so we went to Cannes for the day and also Monaco
It's a real home from home and the owner has thought of everything. Every cupboard I opened contained something else I would not have expected in a rental holiday apartment. Plenty of tea bags, coffee and those type of items like oil, salt, pepper, sugar that you don't really want to buy if you are only there for a week. Loads of cupboard space and the wifi never let me down!! There were even umbrellas. Fabulous waterfall shower in the bathroom really made it for me and there was constant hot water.
Can't wait to get back there and do some more exploring of the area.
We had a great trip and would have no hesitation in booking this apartment again.

The flat, which is not located right bang in the middle of the city but fairly central, is a nice little retreat, although the street in which it is located and certainly the stairwell of the building… More
In response to your review, I would like to state that our apartment is in the Carre d'Or area which is regarded as central. With regard to your comments regarding the hallway of the apartment building, obviously we have no control over it's decorative state. I have spoken to our Manager and apparently in your text message you stated your flight was 40 mins late and not 30, hence your 10 min wait for her. If you were concerned about anything in the apartment, you could have called our Manager who would have resolved any issue. Everything in our apartment is updated on a regular basis and if you view our other reviews, everyone is in agreement that the apartment is a real home from home. I pride myself on hopefully thinking of everything that people may want when they stay here. As for the refund of your deposit, as you are aware, this is held and refunded by Holiday Lettings and is therefore nothing to do with us.

"A fantastic vacation rental"
This is a fantastic vacation rental. It is so close to the Promenade des Anglais, has a lovely baker's next door and a Casino supermarket next to it. Its location is ideal and is really quiet.
The appartment was exceptionally clean on arrival. It is really spacious and contains all the mod-cons and anything you could wish for. The shower is excellent. It is wonderful to have breakfast on the balcony with the sun shine beaming down on you. The air-conditioning is marvellous.
We will definitely be back . Merci mille fois!

"Centrally located, nicely presented but beware of extra charges for cleaning and late arrival."
We enjoyed our stay but were unaware of extra charges which amounted to 90 euros, 20 euros for a late arrival meet and greet and 70 euros for cleaning after our stay. We looked at the Trip Advisor re… More
Hi, We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. However, I am sorry that you missed the extra charges which are clearly mentioned on our page. You chose to arrive very late and I dont think its unreasonable that our manager charges extra for this, as she spends time going through everything in the flat with you. As for the cleaning charge, this also is payable to our Manager. I would point out that we do not benefit from these charges.
