Home description
Wonderful modern holiday apartment at the foot of the Punta Lara urbanisation on the west side of Nerja in a landscaped development of 8 apartments, just opposite the Marinas de Nerja hotel on Playazo Beach. The Master bedroom has a king size bed with patio doors onto the large terrace overlooking the sea and mountains with a 4-piece en suite bathroom. The second bedroom has two single beds. Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes. Family bathroom is also 4-piece. Cot & high chair for little ones available on request. Fabulous 30m2 South-east facing sunny terrace has outside dining table & chairs as well as a couple of sunloungers and a BBQ. The terrace gets the sun all day and late into the afternoon where it sets behind the mountains. Playazo beach which is lovely and sandy is just a 2 minute stroll walk away. Several bars and restaurants in Punta Lara within a 5 min walk or the bars and restaurants of Nerja a 5min drive/taxi or a 20-25min stroll along the seafront with several bars and restaurants along the way to tempt you!

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Nerja is on the seashore some 50 kilometres from Málaga on the N340 coastal highway, and marks the eastern tip of Málaga's Costa del Sol. Once a sleepy fishing village, the town now has a population of over 12,000.
Nerja boasts 16 kilometres of beaches with powdery sand and sparkling clear water. All major water sports are available here, including water skiing, scuba diving and sailing.
However, the heart of Nerja is its spectacular Balcón de Europa, the "Balcony of Europe", a magnificent promenade along the edge of a towering cliff, once the site of the great Moorish castle, with sweeping panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the small coves and beaches below, against an awesome backdrop of hazy blue mountains.
There are plenty of restaurants and cafes here to choose from, and the visitor can hire a horse-drawn carriage to explore the most romantic corner of the town.
Nerja / Punta Lara area
Nerja town itself is only 1km away - a 5min drive or a 25min stroll along the beach with stunning mountain views. In Nerja you have the Cuevas de Nerja (Nerja Caves) with their amazing limestone formations and the local donkey sanctuary - a great day out for the kids where they can see the animals and help feed and groom them! There are several villages inland worth exploring, Frigiliana is 3km away, a stunning whitewashed village with cobbled streets and cafes. Competa is about 15km away up a windy hilly road - again, a lovely whitewashed village famous for its wine and raisins where you can roam around the little streets, check out the church and enjoy a drink in the main square. Ronda is about an hour's drive away (north of Malaga) and has spectacular views due to the gorge there. For the shoppers there is a large shopping centre at Velez Malaga (15mins drive towards Malaga) and Malaga itself is only 45 mins drive. Driving up to Granada there are some lovely little villages to stop at, Lanjaron (where the mineral water comes from) and Orgiva. The stunning Alhambra palace is about 1.5 hours drive - well worth seeing but get there early or reserve tickets online before going. Granada city is lovely - very spanish, little old streets, friendly traditional tapas bars and lots of shops! You can also ski at the Sierra Nevada resort - about 1.5-2hours drive - up until the end of April. Golf is available at the nearby Baviera course (15mins drive)

Nearest airport is Malaga, 45 minute drive away, cheap flights with Easyjet / Monarch / BA / First Choice/Excel Airways. Granada airport is 1hr 30mins away, Ryanair flies direct. Car hire from Malaga airport available at http://www.recordrentacar.com, http://www.hertz.com, http://www.crowncarhire.com/, www.easycar.com, www.economycarhire.com Buses are available from Malaga airport Taxis will take you from Malaga airport although we can arrange a pick up with an English driver (subject to availability) who will take you to the door for €70

Further details indoors: The apartment has cable TV - all BBC & ITV channels, Sky news & Kids channels so you don't have to miss your favourite soaps! The apartment also has Daikin AC/Heating units in both bedrooms and the lounge so you won't be too hot or too cold.
Further details outdoors: The El Olivar development consists of 8 apartments and has a security gate accessible by remote control for the vehicle entrance and a key for the pedestrian entrance. The large sunny terrace contains outside dining for 4 as well as 2 sunloungers when you really want to chill out. There is also a BBQ on the terrace so you can enjoy a spectacular view over dinner of the mountains and the sunset over Nerja. The complex has a small pool with a terrace area overlooking the sea shared only between the 8 apartments.
Further details
You will be provided with all bed linen and bath towels but we kindly request you bring your own beach towels. The apartment is cleaned before each stay and clean linen/bath towels are provided.
Conditions
For advanced bookings a non-refundable deposit of 15% is required to confirm booking. Remaining balance plus £100 damage deposit required 6 weeks before travel. Once full balance is received keys and directions will be posted. After the holiday once keys and are returned by post the deposit will be returned subject to satisfactory inspection.
