About the home

If you are looking for something special, Villa Miramar is a large, luxury, detached villa, set in a third of an acre, and only 5 minutes stroll to Burriana Beach, and 15 minutes walk to Nerja town centre. The house has been recently refurbushed to very high standard and has a fabulous large swimming pool.

The villa has 2 lounges and 2 kitchens and is ideal for families holidaying together but requiring plenty of space and a degree of privacy. The house is set in large mature, colourful gardens with olive, citrus and palm trees and enjoys sea views. The large entrance hall opens into a splendid lounge, with elegant marble floor and seating for eight on cream leather sofas. Sat.TV, DVD, & Hi-Fi with ipod dock. French doors open onto the upper sun terrace. There is a new spacious luxury kitchen/diner with a range cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave etc. and granite w/tops. There is also a formal dining room which seats eight in style. On this floor there are two tastefully decorated bedrooms with large walk in wardrobes. The master double bedroom has a new en-suite bathroom, and the twin bedded room is adjoining the new master bathroom . A marble staircase, with elegant iron work, leads down to the second refurbished kitchen, fully equipped with hob, microwave/grill, washing machine, and dining area.

There are two large bedrooms, one double, one twin, both with fitted wardrobes, and a second sitting room with Sat. TV & HiFi leading onto the large elevated patio through French doors. There is also a large third bathroom with over bath shower, wc, basin and bidet. All bedrooms have air con for nighttime use. We also have pay as you go wifi. NOT TO BE MISTAKEN WITH MIRAMAR VILLAS, NERJA!

This villa was formerly owned by one of the wealtihiest families in the area and has been tastefully renovated and furnished throughout, retaining many period features. It is certainly one of the most stylish in Burriana Beach.

Further details outdoors:
Outside, the lower patio has a barbecue and luxury furniture to provide dining for eight. Sunbeds for eight, around the large swimming pool. Lawned, walled gardens with interesting shrubs and mature trees give shady areas to either relax in out of the sun or ample space to take in full advantage of the Mediterranean heat. Ample secure off-road parking on three-car drive.

The Costa del Sol region

The Costa del Sol has one of the best climates in Europe, and is within easy reach of the UK from all major airports. It is known for its beautiful beaches, with nightlife, bars and restaurants for all tastes.

The famous cities of Malaga, Granada and Seville, are within easy reach offering a wide cultural variety of historical and modern interest. Sightseeing in the spectacular mountains and national parks takes you into a different Spain of whitewashed villages and traditional way of life just a few miles from the cosmopolitan coastal region.

The Nerja / Burriana Beach area

Nerja is a lovely, unspoilt seaside town just 45 minutes East of Malaga which still retains its Spanish charm and has not been ruined by the high-rise and new build of the Western Costa del Sol. Nerja town has a myriad of streets with stylish shops, bars and restaurants to tempt every taste and pocket. A safe, genteel air prevails with a walk along the famous Balcon de Europa with its cultured street entertainment, artists, human statues, horse drawn carriages, and vivid floral displays.

The main square has a traditional church with colourful weddings and services. Just a short drive inland is the pretty white village of Frigiliana with breathtaking mountain views. The famous Caves of Nerja, rated among the best in Europe, are well worth a visit. During winter there are ski slopes just an hour and a half away in the spectacular Sierra Nevada mountains.

Fly to Malaga.There are many airlines offering regular reasonably priced flights, including B.M.I. Baby, Monarch, Jet2.com , Easy Jet and Flyglobespan. Granada is also an upcoming airport, worth checking.
Car hire is very reasonable, try Doyouspain.com for a good rate.
There are regular buses from Malaga town centre to Nerja and taxis are plentiful at around £55.

“Another great stay!” This is our 2nd time staying at Villa Miramar in as many years and it exceeded the previous stay with the owners improving it even further! The facilities are second to none but the location makes it even more appealing. You really don't need a car getting about the local area, beach 5 mins walk with numerous bars, restaurants and shops, the town of Nerja is a 15 minute walk with even more facilities. We're already planning coming back next year!

“Beautiful villa - perfect family holiday!” We always say we'll write reviews of our holidays, but never seem to get round to it, but after this holiday – a review is a must! We truly had an amazing family holiday from start to finish! The villa is beautiful, spacious, extremely well equipped and very clean. As a family of 7, ranging in age from 9 months old to 65 – it suited us all. Especially the little one who loved her high-chair, travel cot and of course splashing around in the gorgeous pool! We visited in June (16th – 23rd) and the weather was fantastic so we made the most of the bbq area most lunch times, then either walked down the hill to the beach front restaurants at Burriana Beach (max 5 minute walk) or took a taxi (max 10 minute taxi drive) to the centre of Nerja, which is very traditionally Spanish, where we found some truly beautiful restaurants. The bedrooms are all very spacious with lots of storage space, the bathrooms are large and of a high standard, and the living areas are fantastic too. Because the villa is set over two floors, it offers enough privacy for friends travelling together but with lovely terrace areas, both upstairs and down – makes for a very sociable villa. Especially when you all meet together for a pre-dinner tipple … as we did every night! The welcome book tells you all you need to know and recommends some great bars and restaurants and the pool guy (sorry we don't know his name!) was lovely and friendly when he popped in to check the water – which is kept very clean. We really do hope to return to this villa in the not too far off future and would like to thank the owners, Cheryl and Andy, for making this holiday very special for us all. Our advice? Book the Villa Miramar and you won't be disappointed!

“Fantastic stay at villa Miramar” We stayed at villa Miramar with extended family (7adults) and 1 child (aged 1 year). The villa was spacious, well equipped and met all our expectations. Unlike other villas that we have stayed, villa Miramar was in walking distance to all amenities. Nerja is a beautiful place to visit with plenty to keep you busy if you wish. Andy and Cheryl were very helpful indeed making our trip stress free. Would definitely recommend villa Miramar and hope to return soon.

“Absolutely stunning villa we will be returning” The Villa Miramar is a truly fabulous villa which has been beautifully and tastefully designed throughout. It is immaculately maintained and expertly kitted out from top to bottom. The kitchen in particular has every piece of crockery or utensil you may wish to use. The bedrooms are outstanding with plenty of wardrobe space and hangers and the softest pillows I have ever slept on. The pool is stunning and the sunbeds are substantial and extremely comfortable. It is in a prime location within easy reach of both the beach and the town, but we found ourselves mainly barbecuing and eating outside on the terrace which was just perfect for a warm May evening. We did also eat out in the town and the recommendations we were given were spot on. The beach also lived up to its description and it was fun to stroll down there at night for the odd cocktail or two.

“Fantastic villa” We had a fantastic two weeks holiday here. 5 mins walk from beach 15 mins to Neja town. Great for our teenagers in Nerja town, lots going on. Supermarket within walking distance,great restaurants, especially Meson Antonio c/millón (great steaks and would advise to book) and Pinocchios, good Italian. Villa very spacious, comfortable with everything you need. Great pool, parrots flying around, black squirrel was interesting and bats at dusk. We would highly recommend this villa.
