Home description

Casa Golden is a family run, three bedroom, end of terrace villa with a private garden on this very popular urbanisation. It affords panoramic views of the foothills of the Sierra De Tejada mountains as well as views of the sea. The property is light and spacious with three twin bedded rooms on the second floor. It is kept to a very high standard of cleanliness by our managing agent based in Nerja. The kitchen and bathroom (bath with integral shower) are both brand new. Satellite TV provides both film and sports channels. A short walk past communal pools and bar takes you to Playazo beach from where an attractive coastal path runs into the beautiful and vibrant Nerja town.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The Costa del Sol has the most temparate climate in Spain. It is home to the famous Nerja caves, which were discovered in the 1950s by a local boy. They can now be explored and are occasionally used for classical music concerts.The hillsides are dotted with white villas and Nerja has been strictly protected from the high rise developments affecting other areas of Spain. A drive along the coast is the Alahambra palace of Grenada with its stunning gardens and ornate interiors, well worth a visit.


Nerja / Tropicana area

Nerja was once a tiny fishing town and although it has grown considerably in size over the last few years it has retained its spanish quality. The centre of Nerja is bustling with traditional Tapas bars, night shopping and a variety of excellent restaurants and pavement cafes. There are weekly markets and The Balcon de Europe is a jutting penisular in the heart of the town affording wonderful views of the coastline. Nestled at the foot of the Sierra De Tejada mountains, it is a lovely small Spanish town while the nearby village of Frigiliana with narrow streets and well-hidden alleyways, is steeped in Moorish history . A short drive away is a large waterpark which is great fun for the children. Tennis, golf, cycling, scuba diving and horse riding are just some of the sporting activities readily available in the area.

Fly to Malaga (45mins by car) or Grenada (1hr 30 mins away by car). Cheap flights are available from most UK airports. Car hire ( the company we use will offer our guests a discount) is readily available at both airports -as are taxis.
There is a good public bus service to and from Malaga to Nerja. As you leave the arrivals lounge look immediately to your right and you will see the bus stop where you can catch a shuttle bus to Malaga Bus station (The sign on the front of the bus usually says Aeropuerto). The bus from the station in Malaga to Nerja is a great way to see some of the scenery on the way

The garden has a useful area which is always in the sun and is good for sunbathing and BBQs. The top terrace affords more secluded sunbathing and there are two loungers provided ,in the bedroom wardrobe, for this terrace .

The swimming pool is open from April until October. It is a good size and has a small pool alongside for toddlers. In accordance with Spanish law it is manned by a lifeguard at all times.
As there are steps up to Casa Golden it is unfortunately not suitable for guests with limited mobility.
For the comfort of all guests smoking is not permitted inside the villa.
