About the home

Situated just a few minutes from the beach, bars, restaurants and shops ‘Casa Alta’ is in a secluded and private location. Behind high walls, the pool, garden areas and various terraces offer total privacy with both sun and shaded seating and dining areas. The spacious villa has a large lounge, dining room and kitchen with 4 double bedrooms – 3 en-suite and with additional bathroom and cloakroom. The pool area is totally private and is provided with sun beds. The villa offers superb panoramic sea and mountain views.

Mojacar Playa offers 7 km of sandy beach with, from one end ‘Tower Bay’ with its coves and clear water, to Garrucha a fishing village with harbour and marina at the other. In-between there’s a wide range of facilities including beach bars, restaurants and water sports.

Whether it’s sailing, fishing, bowling, tennis, golf (five local courses), walking in the beautiful mountains or watersports that take your fancy or simply relaxing on an uncrowded beach soaking up the sun, you will find it all and more. The hill-top Mojacar Pueblo with its Moorish appearance and commanding views will fascinate, beguile and completely captivate you and is just a ten minute drive away.

Bedrooms
Four bedrooms, three with double beds and one with two singles. All rooms are equipped with ceiling fans and plenty of wardrobe space. Three exit directly to garden terraces with tables, chairs and loungers.

Bathrooms
Bed1 has en-suite with bath and over shower; beds 2 and 3 en-suite with shower; bed 4 has use of adjacent cloakroom and separate bathroom with shower. All bathrooms are modern and well furnished with plenty of cupboard space.

Kitchen
The kitchen offers dishwasher, fridges, oven, hob and microwave. A wide selection of cooking utensils, crockery and equipment is included in the well-equipped kitchen

Utility room
The separate laundry room has a washing machine and ironing facilities.

Living rooms
The spacious lounge offers 46 inch satellite TV, video & hi-fi and the large dining room is air conditioned.

The pool area and terraces have plenty of chairs, tables and sun beds and guests can make use of any pool toys and inflatables from the garage.

Further details outdoors:
Extensive terraces offer stunning panoramic sea views. There are plenty of private garden areas along with shaded dining and sun canopies. Equipped with both gas and charcoal BBQs.
There are a few steps up to the main front gates but the remainder of the villa is on one level. The pool has both tiled steps at the shallow end and metal steps and rail at the deep end. All outdoor seating is provided.

Further details

Bookings are accepted by phone or email and confirmed with a 20% deposit and £200 bond. Balance due six weeks prior to departure.
Preferred changeover day is Saturday; departure at 11.00 am and arrival at 4.00. Every effort will be made to accommodate special times – but these fit in well with most flight times. English speaking local manager available at any time. Welcome pack provided.

The cleaning service is weekly and includes all bedding and towels. Some beach towels are provided.

The Costa de Almeria region

On the eastern edge of Andalucia lies the province of Almeria. It takes its name from its capital city which lies on the southern coast of the province. Long stretches of empty beach coupled with a rugged landscape and tiny hidden coves with perfectly clear water means that the area can offer an endless range of sports activities from water sports to hiking, paragliding, horse riding and golf.

Granada is about three hours drive away and the Cities of Murcia and Almeria are about one and a half hours drive from Mojacar.

Mini Hollywood is forty minutes drive and here you can visit the locations where many films including the famous 'spagetti westerns' were made. Vera Waterpark is 15 minutes drive away.

The Mojacar / Mojacar Playa area

Mojacar has the most sunny days in the whole of Spain and the lowest rainfall.

Cotijo Grande - currently 9-holes, soon to be 18. Daily Telegraph listed as one of the top-ten 9-hole courses in the World. Great views, unique location – 25 minute drive.
Marina Del Golf - 18-hole, including putting & driving range. 10 minutes.
Val D’Este – 18-hole, an excellent but tricky course; 25 minutes.
Desert Springs – supposedly the only true desert course in Europe. Great location; very different and challenging; 30 minutes.
Mecenas Beach – brand new, immaculately manicured 18-hole: 10 minutes.

45 minutes from Almeria airport; 1 3/4 hours from Alicante; 1 1/2 hours from Murcia airports
(all served by Easyjet, Ryanair, etc). All major car hire companies are situated at these airports and the property owners would be pleased to discuss recommendations. In all cases an easy drive - mainly by motorway.
