By car, local beaches 10 mins, Benalmadena, Torremolinos, and Mijas Village 15 mins , Malaga, Marbella, Puerta Banus, 25 mins, Gibraltar and Rhonda 120 mins. The House is strictly no smoking, but ashtrays are supplied on the Terrace for those that wish to smoke outside.

No suitable for teenagers wanting to go to local disco as a taxi or car is needed.

The Costa del Sol region
The Costa del Sol (Coast of the Sun) Has sun all year round. Although we do have some rain and cold days between Jan and April. Places of interest include: Gibraltar which has been British territory since 1704. There is plenty to see and do.Sierra Nevada is ideal between December and the end of April if you fancy a day ski-ing it is only 2 and a half hours away. Tarifa only an hours drive from the Costa del sol, located on the turquoise Atlantic coast and considered to be the surfers paradise. Ronda in the hills above San Pedro is town famous for being a Hemingway hang out and the birthplace of bull fighting this town is constructed on the edge of a huge gorge. Steeped in history and the Bullring is amongst the oldest in Spain. Alambra in Granada is the best preserves Arab Palace in the world and is well worth the visit.
The Mijas Golf / Puebla Aida area
October 6th - 12th is the Ferria del Carmen. A week of festivities including traditional Spanish Dress and Dancing Horses, Running of the Bulls and lots of fiesta's. 6th January is all King Day this is when the Spanish really celebrate Christmas. Parades throughout all the local towns and sweets are thrown to all the children.
There are too many festivals to list, but the Costa del Sol always has something going on.
Amongst the attractions is Horse Racing, Sealife Centre, Selwo Adventure, Selwo Marina, Clay Pidgeon Shooting, Cable Car Ride, Scuba Diving, Dolphin Safaris, Tennis, Bowels, Boulle,Tivoli World and Fuengirola Zoo.

Fabulous Location. Uninterrupted views of Coast, Golf course and Mountains. Totally private, giving everything promised when booking. Apartment had everything we needed and more to make our stay memorable. We arrived late, so the complimentry welcome pack was a life saver. Ideally located for sight seeing local area, but a car is needed to get around. We will definately be back for another stay in paradise. We did not expect to find such a beautiful little village like Puebla Aida, just 5 mins from town. |
