About the home

You will be located just a short drive from the coastal towns of Fuengirola, famous for it's night-life and La Cala if tapas on the beach is more your style. Away from the coast, why not explore the picturesque whitewashed village of Mijas or play one of the many superb local golf courses.

As well as all of the essentials, the apartment benefits from hot and cold air conditioning and has satellite TV. There are 2 bathrooms and 3 large double bedrooms as well as a comfortable sofa bed and a z-bed suitable for a child under 10.

To make your stay even more relaxing, there is a dish washer and washing machine. Linen and towels are provided and a cleaning/laundry service is also available.

The Costa del Sol region

The bustling region of the Costa del Sol is famous for its sandy beaches, lively night life and superb golf courses.
During the day there is plenty for all ages to do, walking, cycling, relaxing around the pool or at the beach, exploring the whitewashed villages or maybe taking a donkey taxi through the cobbled streets of Mijas Peublo. There is also a water park, a go-kart circuit and even a bull ring if you want to experience this famous Spanish event!

If shopping is your thing, there are always plenty of markets to be found where you can buy that all important gift. Take a trip down to Gibraltar for duty free or for the serious shopper, visit the designer shops at Malaga or Marbella.

If you enjoy eating out then you can’t beat the Costa del Sol. From lunchtime tapas on the beach to superb a la carte. Paella, pasta, Argentinian steaks, and the freshest seafood you will ever eat, you will find it all here.

For golfers the area has an abundance of fantastic courses. Locally there are the championship courses at La Cala and Mijas. Within easy driving distance are the famous courses of Valderrama, Torrequebrada and Monte Mayor. Whatever your handicap, you will find a course to suit.

The Mijas Costa / La Cala Hills area

If you don’t feel like travelling too far, there is always plenty to do nearby. At Cala Alta you can swim, sunbath, play tennis or relax at one of the local bars.
Step outside of the complex and you can walk, cycle, go horse riding or test your skills at the local go-kart circuit.

For those who enjoy water sports, the marina at Fuengirola is a great destination; windsurfers, sailing dinghies and jet skis are available for hire as well as skippered yachts that can be chartered for the day. There is also an evening cruise on the ‘Dawn Approach’.

The world-famous Hotel Byblos is only a short walk away. Here you can enjoy a cocktail, have a meal or enjoy the facilities of the spa and sauna including beauty treatments and massage.

Of course there is also golf! Mijas Golf offer 2 superb courses – Los lagos and Los Olivos. Fairly testing courses with plenty of water hazards. Santana Golf Course is also very close. Enjoy long, wide fairways that wind through olive groves and avocado trees. The greens here are amongst the best you will find. If you haven’t pre-booked your golf, the on-site bars run golf societies and you can book with them.

There are many flights each day to Malaga from the UK.
Early booking usually secures cheaper prices.

Car Hire is readily available at Malaga Airport with more than 10 operators offering cheap car hire. Amongst the best are ‘Record’ (recordrentacar.com). They offer a fast service at the airport and average family car prices start from 10euros per day.

The apartment is a short 25 minute drive from the airport and can easily be reached via the new A7 coast road (full directions will be sent to you).

Alternatively, there is a very reliable train route which runs right along the coast, stopping at various towns including Fuengirola, from where you can take a taxi to the apartment for about 10 euros. You can also hire a taxi directly from the Airport to the apartment for approximately 40-50 euros.
