Our 2 bedroom 2 bathroom second floor apartment benefits from its own private terrace looking directly onto the communal swimming pool.
The master bedrooms opens directly onto the terrace via double doors. The bedroom itself consists of a king sized bed, fitted wardrobes (with safe) and en-suite bathroom. This bathroom contains a sink, toilet and bath with shower. (bath and beach towels provided) The apartment is comfortable and relaxing.
The second bedroom has a set of bunk beds and a single bed with a double wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is a further bathroom wich consists of a toilet, sink and shower.
The living room and dining area are open plan and open directly onto the terrace via double doors. The living room itself comprises of 2 sofas, coffee table and satellite TV. The dining area allows sitting for up to 6 people.
There is a sofa bed in the lounge that sleeps one comfortably.
The luxury equipped kitchen & laundry room has all the modern benefits you would expect, oven, halogen hob, extractor, dishwasher, fridge/freeze, microwave, toaster, kettle and a washing machine. There is a cool box should you wish to take food out with you. There are tennis rackets, balls, buckets and spades that can be used by children as well as board games and books.

The development is landscaped and has ample green spaces ideal for small children to play. There is an outdoor communal swimming pool and 1 children's pool. We have a paddle court on the complex. As this apartment is a second floor it has a private terrace which can be accessed from the lounge and both bedrooms. There are open views to be enjoyed whilst sitting on the terrace. The apatment is bright with full sun from mid morning till evening.

The Costa del Sol has long been one of the most desirable locations in which to holiday. An area where in the space of a day you can breakfast on the sun terrace, ski in the Sierra Nevada, swim, golf or shop in the afternoon.
The climate in the region is second to none with an average of more than 300 days of sunshine per year. The 'Costa del Golf' as it is widely known is home to more championship courses than anywhere else in Europe. Coupled with the yachting marinas, theme parks, water parks, a racecourse and the White Villages of Andalucia' then it is easy to see why the Costa del Sol keeps attracting visitors year after year.
The Mijas Costa / La Cala de Mijas area
La Cala has two festivals in July and August. The beach is only a 5 minute walk away and is a flat easy walk which makes it perfect for any age including children and the elderly. There are many restaurants in la cala including Chinese, Indian, Italian as well Spanish. La Noria golf course is five minutes walk. There is also a driving range within ten minutes walk. There is a local market on wednesdays and saturdays that is five minutes walk. Cabopino is a beautiful small marina with nice restaurants and a secluded beach with waves for the amateur surfer great fun for all the family. The town of Marbella is an easy drive away. Puerto Banus is 15 miles away and worth the trip to see the rich and famous playground with expensive boats and boutiques.
Malaga city is 20 minutes drive with several festivals of dance and music throughout the year. Malaga centre is 9 miles away by car, with fantastic shops and a promenade. In the winter time, the ski resort of Sierra Nevada is only 1 hour 30 mins away.
There is a shopping mall 7 minutes drive away just before you reach Fuengirola and a larger centre just outside Marbella 15 minutes away. Go-karting , trampolining, and pedalos are available on 'Funny beach' which is about 12 minutes drive away.
Tivoli world theme park is 15 minutes drive away in Benalmadena. Fishing trips and scuba diving are available in Fuengirola. There are two water parks. One in Torremolinos and one in Fuengirola (7 minutes drive). There is a popular and rather good crazy golf course just opposite the water park in Fuengirola.

La Cala is ideally located for access to both Malaga (20 mins) and Gibraltar (45mins) airports, serviced by Easyjet, RyanAir, BMI Baby, Monarch and many other airlines.
Car hire is cheap and highly recommended to enable the traveller to visit the multitude of attractions within an hour's drive of La Cala. I have used solmar and find this reasonable. The journey from the airport is fairly easy and should take approximately 20 minutes.Airport transfer to and from airport can be arranged at half taxi fare.
