About the home

The apartment is located on the Albatros complex, a quiet well maintained complex within minutes of the resort amenities. The square is a 5 min walk away and the beach is a 10 min stroll. Los Alcazares boasts 7Km of Blue Flag beaches which make it an ideal destination for families with young children.

The 3 Bed Penthouse Duplex, has large private roof terrace, and balcony for outdoor dining. The roof terrace has loungers, patio table and chairs. The large communal swimming pool has a separate children's splash pool and is surrounded by greenery, seating areas and fountains. The pool has a lifeguard in attendance during July & August.

The roof terrace is accessed from the master bedroom upstairs. It is a lovely spot for catching the sun on the loungers supplied. There is also a balcony area to the front of the property with table & chairs for “Alfresco” dining.
The complex has a large swimming pool and a children's splash pool ideal for couples and families alike. In July & August there are lifeguards in attendance at the pools. The complex boasts lush gardens, fountains, attractive walkways and seating areas

The Costa Calida region

This is Europe's largest lagoon, which maintains a warm sea temperature in whatever stage of the year, with average of 19 degrees centigrade. Los Alcazares has one of the most beautiful Blue Flag beaches on the Costa Calida.

It's palm lined promenade stretches about four kilometres to Los Narejos and is blue flag beach all the way. Los Alcazares is very popular as people like to 'promenade' on a warm summers evening.

Dotted along the promenade there are several wooden beach bars, so the weary can take a rest, as well as a jug of sangria and watch the world go by.

The Los Alcazares / Albatros area

The Romans and the Arabs built thermal baths around the coast, and to this day people visit the area for the therapeutic properties of the bathing.

There are also pockets of therapeutic 'mud' which is sought after mainly by the Spanish to cover their bodies and bake in the sunshine, this is very good for the skin problems or arthritic conditions. It is a haven for water sports, such as jet -skis', kite surfing, sailing boats and fishing.

The warm, crystal clear waters, shallow shore lines and beach inflatables also attract many families in the summer months. There is a local market twice weekly where you can pick up some great bargains.

A friendly post room( where English is spoken) is situated in the square of the town where you can pick up your daily newspapers, Internet access is also available as well as a hire car agency at this establishment. There are various of sports pubs and there are many restaurants in the area, ranging from English food, Chinese, Indian, or international at very reasonable prices. Fancy staying in for the night, no problems, there is a English Butcher in walking distant and a few supermarkets at hand.

Check out the local tourist information for leaflets on different days out. There are three water parks a short distant away, as well as a zoo. Bicycles can also be hired to explore the local area. There are various festivals held in the town each year, the most notable is the Water Festival in October, which the whole town attend, this consists of wind surfing races, barbecues and music of all kinds throughout the day.

Fancy a bit of golf, no problems, the Mar Menor has three up market golf courses at hand, and also a driving golf range 10 mins drive away.

From Murcia Airport - Los Alcazares/Albatros Apartment is just 5 km from airport by taxi or hire car. Alicante Airport is 50 minutes away by car.

Cheap flights are available from airlines such as Ryanair, Monarch, Flybe, Jet2, BMI baby and Easyjet. Car hire is also available from Carjet, Auto-Europe, Europcar.

Local Taxis are available - but be wary as the fare should be no more than 10 euros. Local Transfers can be arranged on request.
