Home description
This apartment is located in the Roda Golf and Beach Resort. It has been newly furnished this year to a high standard. The Golf course is open and for the non-golfers you have access to a private beach club on the Mediterranean. The local beach is located on the Mar Menor which is a 5 min. drive away. The Resort is located in Loz Alcazares which has a lot to offer visitors, from great restaurants and bars to pools and water parks for the younger visitors. I have complied an information book about Los Alcazares and the surrounding area, of places to visit and eat and generally enjoy yourself.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region
Los Alcazares is in the Murcia region in south-eastern Spain, which is also called the Costa Calida. The town lies on the western shore of the Mar Menor, Europe's largest saltwater lake. This region has on average 320 days of sun per year.
All along the Mar Menor you can find restaurants serving meals, drinks and tapas as well as providing fantastic entertainment in the summer evenings. The warmer water of the Mar Menor is ideal for swimmers and watersports enthusiasts providing wind sufing and clear water. The Mar Menor is renowned for its health-giving properties as it is rich in minerals and the town has thermal baths which were built in Roman times.
There is a good motorway network and airport less than 5km away, with flights to and from many UK airports.
There are sports and other activities available all year. There are more than eight golf courses a short drive from the town. In October there is a week-long outdoor party with live music and shows and spectacular firework displays. In Los Alcazares the last three days in March there is a medieval market with bands, amusements and stalls to pass the evenings away. The last two weeks in August, there is a celebration of La Huerta with firework displays and parade creating a carnival atmosphere.
Los Alcazares / Roda Golf area
Right on your doorstep is an 18 hole, 72-par golf course designed by David Thomas, where you can play everyday from first thing in the morning to late in the evening. And enjoy the exclusive Beach Club at La Managa del Mar Menor, which offers you a private area for sunbathing, having a dip in the pool or a splash in the sea.
Street markets are held in Los Alcazares and in many of the towns along the coast. The Beaches The blue flag beaches can be found along the 7km promenade. You will also be able to enjoy refreshments at the 20 or so beach bars and hire sun beds, parasols and pedallos. Cycling As it is so flat cycling is very popular in Los Alcazares and you can hire bikes on a daily basis. Tennis courts and an outdoor swimming pool can be found on Avenida de Marques de Rozalejo and there is an outdoor mini water park and windsurfing learning centre at the end of the road. You can find horse riding stables on the road to the airport, past Avenida Justo Quesada.
Scuba diving If diving is your sport then the Hormigas Islands near Cabo de Palos which have been declared a Marine Reserve are well worht diving as they are exceptionally beautiful and recognised as one of Spain’s premier dive sites. Dive centres can be found along the Costa Calida. Other Water sports The Mar Menor with its shallow waters and warm winds make it ideal for Windsurfing and Kite boarding. You can hire both and Pedallos along the Mar Menor coast.
Mar Menor Ferry The Mar Menor Ferry departs from the pier in the centre of town and goes to La manga strip where you can enjoy the cooler, rougher waters of the Med, and sample some of the local dishes along hte La Manga strip. Water Park Aquapolis Fun Park near Torrevieja, is an excellent fun day out for all the family and there a water park in Murcia which also has a zoo and is well worth a visit.
La Manga Club The world famous resort of La Manga is just a 20 minute drive from Los Alcazares. It has 3 championship golf courses, a tennis academy with 28 tennis courts and a football academy.There is a 5 star Regency Hyatt Hotel in the resort. La Managa has a fabulous Spa and is well worth a visit.

The apartment is less than a five minute drive from San Javier, Murcia airport. Flights operate from the following UK airports Belfast, Blackpool, Birmingham, Bristol, Dublin, Edinburugh, Gatwick, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Luton, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Stanstead, Southampton. Further details indoors: The apartment is light and airy with 4 patio doors to make the most of the outside area. The lounge has been furnished with 2 red leather sofas, a 3 and 2 seater. There is also a flat screen TV with satellite channels, coffee tables and lamps. There is a patio door leading out to a private terrace and grassed area which cannot be accessed by anyone else. So plenty of room for playing and sunbathing.
The dining area has a circular table which seats 4 comfortably, but can be extened to seat 6 if you want to invite guests. There is also a window so you can enjoy the view and a serving hatchh to the kitchen.
The kitchen is well furnished with a large fridge freezer and washing machine, and plenty of plates and crockery and pots and pans. There is a toaster, kettle and microwave as well as the fitted hob and oven.
The master bedroom has a comfortable double bed and bedside lights and cabinets. The en-suite has been finished to a high standard with narble walls and floor. If has a bath with shower fitting, bidet, toilet and sink.
The second bedroom has 2 patio doors which lead out to the back terrance and grassy area where the large pool is located. The bedroom has twin beds, wardrobe and lamps.
There is a second batroom, again finished to a high standard in marble and has a fitted shower.
The apartment has private underground parking as well as parking on the roadside.
Further details outdoors: The apartment is on the ground floor so has plenty of outside space. It is also at the end of the block so has lots of light.
