The Homestead is a charming three bedroom barn conversion on Town Farm, with stunning views over the Vale of Aylesbury beyond.
Town Farm is a working farm nestled at the foot of the Chiltern Hills and has been run by the Leach family since the early 1930s. About 1,000 sheep are farmed on the Beacon Hill and surrounding high ground, while the lower fields are used for crop cultivation. The `Pick Your Own` opens in June and guests can take a picnic and stock up on fruit and vegetables. The farm enjoys fantastic views of the surrounding countryside including the local landmark - Ivinghoe Beacon, which marks the start of the famous Ridgeway Walk.
The Homestead is a three bedroom holiday cottage which was converted from a barn in 2007. It is laid out over two floors, with one ground floor bedroom, and two bedrooms upstairs, including a double and two twins.
As you come in through the front door, you enter the spacious kitchen, which is fully equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. The kitchen sink has a view over the garden, and the Vale beyond, and there is also a kitchen table with three chairs. There is also a dining area in the sitting room.
The sitting room has a dining table with six chairs, and two large three seater sofas. The flat screen television has freeview and there is also a DVD player.
There is a ground floor bedroom with twin beds, a chest of drawers and a view over the garden. There is also a ground floor bathroom with a bathtub with power shower over.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a double and a twin, both with chest of drawers and wardrobe. There is also an upstairs shower room, with shower, toilet and sink.
Outside there is a large childrens play area and communal tennis courts.
Ample parking is available for tenants use. Wireless internet included in the rental, and linen and towels. Heating by electric radiators.
Please note that the rental includes an allowance of £20 per week, for electricity. Any extra is charged as used. This allows us to be able to remain environmentally green as possible.
The owner of this property requests a refundable £100 damage deposit for stays of up to 27 days, and one week`s rental for stays of over 28 days.

The Central England/Cotswolds region
Buckinghamshire is located in Central England and stretches from the outskirts of London to the bottom entrance of the Midlands. Home to the stunning Chiltern Hills (designated as an Area of Outstanding Beauty) and the meandering River Thames, Buckinghamshire is a diverse county full of history and charm.
Why not visit one of the many pretty market towns or take a walk in the country, stopping at one of the many picturesque villages dotted throughout this county?
Buckinghamshire is an area that is full of things to see and do, visit the stunning Waddesdon Manor or take the kids to the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre for a day out that they will never forget. With many different manor houses and stately home located in the area, lovers of history will be in for a real treat. Feeling tired? why not visit one of the many excellent village pubs that serve traditional fayre and great ale, sure to ease away the aches and pains of a filling day exploring.
The Chiltern Hills are situated close to the heart of England. It is an area of natural beauty with a wealth of places to visit. The property is up to an hour away from most areas of interest - whether it is Warwick Castle, The Tower of London, National Trust properties, Zoos or Theme Parks.
Weather tends to be mild, there are plenty of activities outside if the weather is good, and plenty of inside activities if wet.
The cottage is at the base of the Chiltern Hills, a beautiful wooded set of rolling hills in the centre of England. London is only 50 minute train ride away, with a wealth of attractions for the visitor. More locally both Ascott House and Waddesdon Manor are 10 minutes and 30 minutes away respectively.
Both are owned by the Rothschild family and are stunning properties - Waddesdon has the appearance of a French chateau and is filled with beautiful furniture. Ascott House was described as a 'A palace like cottage, the most luxurious and lovely thing I ever saw'. This was how Gladstone's daughter, Mary, described Ascott after a visit in the 1880s.
If you prefer more Medieval History, Warwick Castle or Hampton Court are both accessible (but in opposite directions!) and both offer medieval entertainment at certain times of the year.

"A Magical Holiday"

"Lovely place to stay"
The cottage was comfortable. Nice clean laminate floor throughout downstairs on which our baby learnt to crawl. There were one or two small things that needed fixing but we were able to pass on these suggestions at the end of our time and they were gratefully received.
