About the home

Our lovely and comfortable apartment is situated in the heart of Florence. This is a fantastic location, just a few hundred meters from the Cathedral, the Accademia Gallery, the Medician Chapels, the S. Marco Museum, S. Maria Novella Church. Most of the city’s amenities and attractions are within easy walking distance. The apartment is located in a beautiful typical quiet street (no traffic noise) at the ground floor of a XVIII° sec. building. The famous San Lorenzo Market, with its typical Florentine atmosphere is very close (5 minutes on foot). The apartment is made up of: a small living-room with a double sofa bed, a well equipped kitchen, a double bedroom, a bath with shower/bath and a store-room. The bedroom, the living-room and the kitchen open to a private nice flowered courtyard (40 sq m). The apartment is tastefully furnished and it has been recently fully restored.

A charming flowered private courtyard allows our guests to eat and relax open air.
It is equipped with a table, four chairs and a big parasol.
The apartment is on the ground floor so it is easy and comfortable to carry your luggage in. The whole apartment faces the inner private courtyard (not the street). So during the night there is no traffic noise.

Arriving by train our guests can reach our apartment from the S.M. Novella railway station easily on foot (15 minutes) without taking any cab or bus, if they wish.
From SM Novella railway station our guests can get buses or train to easily reach (and without driving) all the most important towns of art in Tuscany (Siena, Lucca, Pisa, Arezzo).
A bike and scooter rental's is 20 metres far from the apartment
Our apartment is ideally located in a very convenient area of the centre of Florence because everything is handy: the Accademia Museum, the Cathedral, the Cappelle Medicee, SS. Annunziata, San Marco....etc.
You can reach every place of interest on foot.
"Fortezza da Basso" centre of exposure can be reached on foot in 5 minutes.
The location of the apartment allows you to come back home and having a break during the day, and sightseeing later... without taking any bus or taxi.

The famous S.Lorenzo central market is just one block away.
Restaurants, bank, pharmacy, bike rentals, every kind of shops are just close to our apartment. Very close to the flat are a well-stocked mini supermarket and also a lovely local bakery/delicatessen we kindly suggest you to try. Comfortable and quiet internet café 20 metres far from the apartment.

The Florence / Central Florence area

Florence, the capital of Italian Renaissance, rich of artistic treasures is famous all over the world for its monuments, museums and history.
Florence is also the perfect starting point for excursions in the marvellous Tuscan countryside.

Our apartment is ideally located in a very convenient area of the centre of Florence because it's just a 15 minutes walk away from the S. Maria del Fiore Cathedral and from S. Maria Novella central train station.
Guests can arrive at the station with their luggage and reach the apartment without taking any cab or bus.
From the train station our guests can get buses or train to comfortable reach (without driving) all the most important towns of art in Tuscany (Siena, Lucca, Pisa, Arezzo).

On the other hand the apartment is also suitable for people who prefer to arrive by car as they can park at Parterre underground parking and reach our apartment in only 15 minutes walking.

The downtown location, the easiness to reach it, the possibility of parking nearby, make this apartment the perfect place to visit Florence and surroundings.

We recommend you to have a trip at Fiesole, on the hills above Florence (about 20 minutes by bus) and at Piazzale Michelangelo from which you can admire a great view over the town.

Our area is also served by several bus lines connecting to Piazza Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and the Uffizi Gallery but you don’t really need to take a bus as all the major tourist attractions can be easily reached on foot

The town is also known for its exceptional cuisine, characteristic restaurants, ice-cream’s, wine bars, elegant shops, artistic workshops and traditional markets.
The S. Lorenzo Central Market is the most interesting and characteristic place to buy food in Florence and it is a tourist attraction itself. Don’t miss it!

Living in the area where our apartment is located will make you feel and breath the typical Florentine life style and atmosphere. You can find all the shops you need and many restaurants and bars where local Florentines go for lunch and dinners

The Mediterranean climate makes Florence have mild winter temperature so it worth’s to be visited in every season. Period from half November to beginning of March (except Christmas time) is particularly suitable for avoiding cheque at museums and monuments entrance.

In summertime, there are several public swimming pools open and the Versilia beach is 1 hour away (reachable also by train or bus)
We also suggest you to visit the Boboli garden, also ideal for relaxing and refreshing walks.
A walk along the Arno river is also a nice and relaxing experience.

“Marvellous holiday in the beautiful environment” We stayed in Rosy´s apartment for a week during our autumn holiday. We really enjoyed relaxing in the clean and nice apartment. Even our 9-years old daughter felt like beeing at home:) The location of the apartment was excellent. We could walk around the old centre where ever we wanted to, I have been 3 times in Florence and this was the best journey of all. It was so pleasent to live among real Italians! “It was gorgeous” Thank you so much for a wonderful time spent in Florence.We had a lovely stay in this apartment;it is really gorgeous and we loved sitting out in the courtyard.We usually shopped at the Lorenzo market and sat outside in the courtyard and had a lovely dinner.The apartment was so nice and located in a quiet street,so away from all the noise but just a few minutes walking away from everything important in Florence as well as the train and bus station for trips around Tuscany.One further advantage is that it was on the ground floor.It was very clean and had every amenity we needed.It was located in a typical Florentine apartment block so we were actually living alongside the locals.We were very close to a supermarket and cafes and within walking distance of every attraction in Florence.We would highly recommend this apartment and we will certainly return.

“Fantastic apartment close to all the central attractions” We really enjoyed our stay, loved the apartment. When we arrived our greeting was great, fantastic instructions on the apartment and details of attractions, restaurants etc. The courtyard was an added bonus, rooms were fab, really clean. We had a great time and would stay again.

Thank you so much for a wonderful time spent in Florence, we did enjoy ourselves immensley. We shopped at the Lorenzo Market and bought some risotto, Chicken wrapped in proscuitto, insalata, vino and sat outside in the courtyard and had a fantastic dinner. Your apartment was so nice and close to all the main sights. Next time we visit Firenze, we will contact you.. Thank you again

"We loved our stay in this apartment. It had every amenity we
needed and was very clean and it is located in a typical Florentine
apartment block so we were actually living alongside the locals. One
further advantage is that it was a ground floor apartment. It was a
wonderful location. We were very close to a supermarket and cafes and
within walking distance of every attraction in Florence. It was a 15
minute walk from the train station and a 10 minute walk from a market
and a 15 minute walk to the Duomo. We would highly recommend this
apartment and we will certainly return. "
