Seashell cottage is a traditional characterful cosy chalk cottage. It was built in The 1700’s along with number 10 - 13 and was originally used as a public house called ‘The Coble Inn’ listed as such in a book from 1811. At some stage at the turn of the century and up to around the 1950’s it was a sweet shop and has been converted to a house ever since. The stairs are traditionally quite steep so maybe unsuitable for some guests, the front door and internal doors have low head room, so if your tall, watch your head.

Situated in the charming village of Flamborough. It is in an ideal location that will enable you to explore the beautiful Yorkshire coastline ideal for bird watching, walking, cycling or just relaxing The view from the front of the house is the pretty 12th century local church of St. Oswalds. The village centre is a 5 minute walk, offering a local Co-op store, pharmacy, butcher, cafes, restaurants, fish and chip shop and several pubs that serve food. 

Easy walking distance to the beaches of South Landing, North Landing and Flamborough Head Lighthouse. 

A bus service stop is 50 yards from the door will and will take you into Bridlington,15 minutes away with its shops, beaches, leisure centre and Spa theatre. There is limited space outside the cottage for 5 cars, parking on a first come first served basis. Additional free parking across the road.

The lounge is a comfortable cosy area, with a comfy sofa and arm chair, smart television and DVD player, a collection of DVDs, books and maps of the surrounding area, a range of board and card games. Unfortunately the original cast iron fireplace is for decoration only and not a working fire therefore can not be lite.

There is everything you would expect in the modern kitchen-diner, fridge freezer, split level electric oven and gas hob, electric kettle, toaster and microwave, dining table and chairs.

The back of the cottage opens onto a cobbled communal courtyard with table and chairs, with secure outbuilding for bike/kayak storage if required.

The bedroom is reached by a steep staircase from the kitchen which may be unsuitable for some, the ceilings upstairs are traditionally low. There is a double bed with fresh linen, wardrobe, drawers and bedside tables.

The modern bathroom has a toilet, full size bath, hand shower and hand basin, 2 bath and hand towels provided

How do damage deposits work?

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Helen (the owner) a message.

If Helen (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
