From the owner

Beautiful mid-terraced stone built cottage in the picturesque village of Fence. Providing a comfortable retreat from which to explore the surrounding countryside. Conveniently located to explore the Forest of Bowland, Ribble Valley, the whole of Lancashire and the Yorkshire Dales.

The village of Fence dates back to medieval times and was a term used for the King's hunting grounds which were used by the lords of the manor. The Royal deer were enclosed within the fence, which is how the village got it's name.

The village of Fence is located close to Pendle Hill, with an abundance of beautiful walks in the area. The area boasts a large number of pubs and restaurants the closest which is 700 yards away, which was awarded a Michelin star in 2018 (one of only three in Lancashire). There is also a village store and post office 200 yards away.

The property is provided with high quality furniture and contains everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay.. The kitchen is very well equipped with a washer/drier and dishwasher provided. The second bedroom has a single bed with a pull out bed underneath. A travel cot can be provided on request. All towels and bed linen provided along with a welcome pack and basket of logs for the fire.

There is a private back garden with a substantial decking area with garden furniture which has a scenic view of the surrounding countryside. Perfect for capturing the suns rays during the day or relaxing in the evening.

Please note that it is on street parking and no private driveway.

There is a local bus route that goes through the village to Clitheroe every two hours, stopping at some stunning villages on the way. Ideal for a leisurely day out without taking the car. It is our very own ‘Route 66’.

You are assured of a very warm welcome!
