The Sicily region

Sicily is the largest island of the Mediterranean Sea which has a very rich History before being part of the Great Greece and after with many other civilisations (Normans, Spanish, French) which give to Sicily its architectural specificities ! Sicily is an agricultural country with production of wheat, agrumes, wines. The landscapes are very different from one part to the other with natural reserves (Zingaro). The climate is very nice from May to December, warmer in summer but the wind helps to support the heat. During your journey, you can visit as well as the antiques places like Segeste, Agrigente, Selinunte than the numerous beaches in Trapani and around (Bonagia, San Vito, Scala dei Turchi...). All the year you can listen to concerts (organ festival), opera in the open air or cinema (summer), and take part at religious processions or other manifestations (couscous fest) ! The center of the town of Trapani is most pedestrianvand you can profite of the typical Sicilian way of life ... Don't be surprised that the town is empty from 2.00pm to 5.00 and full of people in the streets after dinner until late in the night !

In comparison with downtown, the Baglio degli Ulivi is a very quiet place, with a beautiful view on the hills and mountains around. The "plus" is that you can do horseback riding all around the place with a guide if necessary. Or if you prefer do very nice "ballade" through the fields, wineyards and olive trees.

About the owners, one is from Trapani and the other is French.

They will be very happy to welcome you at home !
