A Classical Stone Built Cottage - Amazing views - Sleeps 6/8

3 Bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, Huge Kitchen and 3 reception rooms.

Our beautiful house at Drishane is situated 6 miles from Schull on the Mizen Peninsula in an elevated position with wonderful views over Dunmanus Bay. High speed Internet and printer with office looking over the Atalntic ocean. From the kitchen window you can watch Dolphins and Seals feeding for the mackerel which abound in the water here. It is a cottage style, stone built house in a half acre garden. Running through the garden is a stream with a small waterfall and pool with a bridge to a little spinney – ideal for the children to play. You can walk to a private beach within 150 mts where you can swim fish and sunbathe

The location is well placed to access Schull, Ballydehob (5 miles), and Baltimore (12 miles) on the Roaring Water Bay side of the peninsula as well as Bantry (7 miles), Glengariff (12 miles) and beyond the Dunmanus side, all of which have many excellent pubs and restaurants. The village of Durrus is 5 miles away with pubs great food and live music plus a mini-market filled with local produce. The surrounding countryside is stunning in all directions both beautiful and craggy and is excellent for hill walking and cycling. There are first class golf courses in Bantry, Glengariff and Skibbereen plus amazing long beautiful sandy beaches around Crookhaven and Barley Cove.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If George (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
