"Excellent stay in Rossmore House once again"

We love this house having stayed there for Christmas 2013. Load of space, very comfortable, well equipped, peaceful, ever changing stunning view. Murvagh beach is wonderful and plenty of facilities in Donegal town and nearby. Lovely coffee shop in craft centre in Donegal town. Highly recommended.

"Great find!"

I stayed here for 2 nights while attending a wedding in Harvey's point with a group of friends. What a great find. It was so reasonable (especially compared with the price of hotels in the area). The owner Gareth was nothing but helpful despite a late night wake up call for directions really late on the night of arrival.

The house itself is amazing and the setting was gorgeous too. It probably helped that the weather was really nice. A car would be a definite plus if you were staying here. The taxi had no problem dropping us home from Harvey's Point after the wedding but you wouldn't want to be making too much of them trips given the fact that the taxi drivers don't believe in using meters and can tend to be a little pricey. This is not the house's fault though!

The house is so well maintained and all the bedrooms and living area/kitchens/bathrooms are gorgeous. The pictures on the website were true to form.

If I had to make one complaint it would be the fact that we had difficulty finding it when we arrived. That may be down to the fact that it was so late at night, we were all a little tired and emotional!

I would definitely recommend to a friend and I'd like to think we would come back again at some point!

"Fantastic house with stunning views"

"Very clean and comfy, lovely fire, great location"

House was spotless on arrival and welcome was very warm from Gareth. House was very well provided for with brilliant big kitchen and a lounge area with open fire and great selection of books and dvds. Kids really enjoyed the surrounding area with walks from the house and ponies/sheep to keep them occupied!
Beautiful views from the house over the sea and stunning sunset from the house. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. An extra shower would have been handy, but didn't detract form our enjoyment of the stay.
Kids loved it and would definitely recommend. If we return to stay in this area, we'll be looking here for availabiltiy first!

"What a fantastic house"

We really enjoyed our Christmas stay in Rosswood House. The house was spacious, modern and comfortable (and well able to withstand the turbulent Irish winter weather). We have rented various holiday homes in Ireland, and this one has moved to the top of the list. Loads of room for our party of 8, very spacious kitchen and lovely cozy living area with fantastic open fire. Very comfortable beds too. The view from the front of the house is beautiful and constantly changes with the weather. Because it was Christmas we didn't get to explore the area as much as we would have liked (so we will have to come back!!). We did get to Murvagh beach a couple of times and the dogs loved it. Donegal town also looks like a nice place to have a wander. Well done on a fantastic house Gareth, and for your excellent service when we arrived.

"A fabulous place matched only by a fantastic host"

Rosswood House is very spacious, well laid out with all mod cons, an open fireplace, seating area outside and my mother particularly liked the rocking chair. The beds were made up when we arrived and Gareth, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming. It is a little distance away from Donegal town for going out in the evening, but this is more than compensated by the stunning views from the house. Gareth offered to drive us into town, but the house was so lovely and cosy, that it was really the perfect place for a bottle of wine and to watch the sun set which we did. The house alone deserves a top rating but on top of this, Gareth was a gem. On the day we were going back to the airport, the hire car wouldn't start. Luckily Gareth wasn't far away and although we probably interrupted his lunch, he came over immediately and he got the car started. On top of this, as I was worried about stopping to get petrol in case the car wouldn't start again, Gareth ran to put some of his own petrol into the car without a second's thought. This generosity added to the great memories I have of Rosswood House.

Thank you so much for the Kind Words about Rosswood House. Looking forwward to welcoming you both back again. Have even more plans for House over the next few Months. Delighted to Help out with the Hire Car and thankfully it didnt ruin your Break
