Villa Hatira is situated only 5 minutes stroll from the main street of Dalyan with all the bars, shops and restaurants. It has a large private garden and pool. Inside, the villa easily accommodates six with three en suite bedrooms and a traditional open plan living area downstairs. The main feature downstairs being a sunken Turkish seating area situated around an open fireplace. Two sets of double doors lead onto the veranda where guests can enjoy views of the famous Lycian rock tombs, the park, the pool and garden.
Outside there is also a large b-b-q with two further seating areas for alfresco dining.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Dalyan is situated on the Turquoise Coast of S.W. Turkey. Summers are hot although there is always a cooling breeze all day from the sea or the mountains.

Dalyan lies within a broad river delta with views of mountains and pine clad hills. The area is ideal for those who enjoy a totally relaxing holiday as well as for those who enjoy activities such as white water rafting, mountain biking, visits to ancient sites, bird watching, walking and much more.

Dalyan / Maras area

The surrounding area has a wealth of interest from the archaelogical site of Caunos to the colourful markets at Dalyan, Koycegiz and Ortaca. Enjoy a days boat trip to lake Koycegiz where you can visit the famous mud baths and sulphur pool. Or take a trip out to sea to visit the many coves and enjoy a b-b-q onboard. You may also like to visit the trout restaurants in the mountains behind Dalyan where your trout will be cooked to order as well as other meals including a wide selection of vegetarian dishes.

How to get there

The local airport for Dalyan is Dalaman which is only 25 minutes transfer time. Flights to Dalaman depart from most airports in the UK including Gatwick, Newcastle, Bristol, Bournemouth, Exeter, Manchester, Teeside, Humberside etc. Airlines include Monach, Easyjet, Excel, Thomas Cook, Thompson, Aegean. Flights take roughly 3.5 hours from Gatwick to Dalaman.

Villa Hatira benefits from a fully equipped kitchen with marble work tops and includes a full sized cooker with halogen hob, dish washer, fridge with freezer compartment and washing machine. The downstairs also benefits from air conditioning as do all three bedrooms. Ceiling fans are also present upstairs for those who prefer these to air conditioning.

The lounge area has a small library of novels and several games for you to enjoy on the veranda whilst watching the sun go down.

Villa Hatira is situated on a large garden plot with fruit trees and shrubs all of which surround the villa. The large veranda provides additional eating space as does the area around the b-b-q. Sun beds are provided for those who wish to relax in the sun. For those who don't, ample shade is provided at various sites around the garden.

Further details

The rental charges for villa Hatira are per week. Included in the cost are one return transfer to and from Dalaman airport , housekeeping for stays of two weeks or more and use of an English speaking host. The pool is not usually available before the end of April and closes at the end of October.

Conditions

Bookings are secured by a 10% non refundable deposit with the balance payable 6 weeks in advance of departure. A separate payment of £100 is payable as a security payment and is returned when the villa inventory is checked after guests have departed. We do advise guests to replace any broken or damaged items themselves as this will be cheaper than our agents supplying them. As there is no shallow end to the pool, children should be supervised at all times. A cot can be provided for guests for an extra charge, however we do ask that cot bedding is provided by the guests. Linen is provided but we ask guests to provide their own towels for the beach and outside. Villa Hatira is strictly a non smoking house and we also ask guests to remove their shoes at the door in line with Turkish custom. We also ask ladies not to sunbathe topless as this can cause offence.

The price includes one return transfer to and from Dalaman airport and use of our English speaking host. We do not tend to accept bookings of less than 5 nights. Also included are mid sta clean for bookings of two weeks or more and use of the air conditioning downstairs. All bedding and indoor towels will be provided. Welcome packs can be arranged for an extra cost of £10
