There is an entirely open plan sitting area that overlooks the sea all around and the dramatic horizon pool. The kitchen-open plan-area is connected with both sides of the house with outside covered terraces suitable for dinning. On of those holds the bbq area as well.

On the pool level floor there is a double bedroom ensuite

Holds two master bedrooms with jacuzzi bathroom ensuite and mini bars which lead to open terraces with spectacular views over the pool and the sea.

The Ionian Islands region

Corfu got its name from two hills (corypho) that were formed when Zeus lopped off his father's - ahem - 'important bits' with a sickle. A bit harsh, but mind you, his father (Cronos) did attempt to eat him! The new King of the Gods escaped his father's fate, but with all philandering, maybe he could have benefited from a similar treatment (and hill walkers would have even more options).

First renowned for its beauty, Corfu remains one of the loveliest of all Greek islands, not least because it is the greenest. Its rainfall, happily concentrated in the winter months, is twice that of Hull. The Ionian Sea looks blue enough and clear enough to be served at a bar in tumblers; there rocky bays and hillsides whose woods are perfumed by citrus trees and splashed with wild flowers. The little coves of Paleokastritsa are still among the most photographed sights in Greece despite hordes of sightseers in high summer intrusive buildings.

The British have been coming to Corfu for years. Lord Byron had his look-in in 1823. Eight years earlier, all the Ionian islands were made a British protectorate, administered from Corfu by a Lord High Commissioner which lasted 50 years. Not much of those days remain now except for some Regency style architecture and a cricket pitch to be found in Corfu Town. The Venetians occupied the island for over 400 years before the British arrived, so it is not surprising that the Old Town of Corfu, with its tall buildings, and the cracks between them that pass the streets, is unmistakably Venetian. -

It is on the east coast to either side of Corfu Town that the densest development occurred, but it amounts to less than a fifth of the island's total coastline. Down the west coast and at the northern and southern extremities, there are still of acres of Corfu where you are hardly conscious that this is a holiday island, let alone one of the two or three most popular spots in the Mediterranean. The fabulus beaches on the west coast are well worth a visit. Dassia, Gouvia and Ipsos are three of the bigger east coast resorts, built along the coast road. Glyfada, Messonghi and St George South have sandy beaches - five miles of them at St George. Sidari, San Stefanos and Arillas all have good beaches, and most of the other beaches on the east of the island are shingle or pebble.

On our beach you can moor a boat to explore the coastline by day or go snorkelling, fishing, etc.

You can also take walking trips to nearby vizantine village of Old Perithia, or the lake Antinioti.

Using a car you can explore the whole island as from south to north is approx. 90 Km long and the widest is 20 Km.

Water sports are nearby (you can see them from your balcony) while golf is some 40 Km away. The closest tennis court is 1 Km away at Corfu resort.

Great area for trekking lovers, flora and fauna admirers.
