Hello I'm Cheryl. I feel truly blessed to live in this beautiful part of Shropshire with my husband,sheep,alpacas and chickens ! I left a job in accounts in the West Midlands a year ago to begin my dream of living the good life. When I am not looking after the animals I enjoy walking, fishing and entertaining friends. I look forward to the opportunity of welcoming guests and I will do everything I can to ensure your stay is a memorable one.

The Summerhouse is a delightful detached lodge in the grounds of our cottage. Designed to allow total privacy with your own entrance,garden and patio area, hot tub and sun loungers. The Summerhouse has an open plan layout with a comfortable lounge,TV Netflix/ fitted kitchen with fridge,hob and microwave grill. There is a separate modern bathroom with a walk in shower. The bedroom has the option of a super king size bed or two single beds as required . Please note the bedroom will be made up as a Superking, please inform us at the time of booking if you would prefer the 2 single beds option.There is off road parking in our car park.

It was our dream when we moved to Shropshire to buy somewhere which would allow us to keep a few animals. We now have 2 Valais Blacknose rams, a Valais Blacknose lamb , a Jacob ewe, 3 Alpacas, 2 dozen hens and 10 beehives !. We hope you will get as much enjoyment as we do from seeing them grazing freely in the adjacent field.

We provide welcome basics such as tea, coffee,milk,orange juice,bread,condiments,yogurt,croissants and of course our freshly laid eggs !

Should you fancy a treat of a cooked breakfast from our menu of local sourced produce my husband Simon( a retired Chef) will specially prepare this and bring it to the Summerhouse at a time that suits you for an additional cost.

We are situated down a idyllic quiet tree lined country lane opposite a 14th century Anglican church. A short walk down the lane leads you to Chelmarsh Nature Reserve and Reservoir. We benefit from an elevated position which offers panoramic views across the Severn Valley. A short walk away lies The Bulls Head public house offering real cask ales, good reasonably priced food and weekend live entertainment.

Other things to note

Extra measures I will be taking in light of the COVID-19 pandemic:

The safety and well being of my guests is always my top priority but this is more important to me now than ever.

* I normally look forward to meeting my guests on arrival but in line with government guidelines for social distancing I shall be asking all guests to self check-in using the keysafe (all instructions for use will be given)

* I want to re-assure guests that the Summerhouse will not only be thoroughly cleaned but it will be sprayed with a disinfectant (with 70% or greater alcohol content). I will be paying particular attention to all kitchen and bathroom surfaces,door handles,TV remotes,taps,light switches etc. The property with be thoroughly ventilated during cleaning with all doors and windows left open.

* The CDC recommends that people wait 24 hours before entering a space occupied by a person who may have been exposed to the virus. In light of this initially I will be insisting on a 24 hour time gap between when a guest leaves and a new guest arrives.This will also allow me more time for the enhanced cleaning regime I have adopted.

How do damage deposits work?

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Cheryl (the owner) a message.

If Cheryl (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
