Athermigo Deluxe Estate
About the home
Villa Athermigo, whose name derives from the unique olive oil, used to be a traditional oil press, bursting with the gifts of this sacred, eternal tree.
Rustic on the outside, country-chic on the inside, this characteful estate has recently been given a new lease of life as a deluxe private retreat for a group of friends or family. Immense love and care has been lavished on this ancient house and the careful restoration was carried out with full respect to the place's original architecture and spirit.
The property is rented in its entirety and comprises of three autonomus deluxe suites
Elia Suite as a double built-in bed and a bathroom ,with shower, on the ground floor. An internal staircase leads to the 2nd bedroom, that is of loft style, with 2 single beds that can not be attached. Because of the 'open' railings, this may not be suitable for very young children – upon request a non-permanent protective net can be added, to give parents some peace of mind. There is no visual contact between the 2 sleeping areas.
Karydia Suite has a king size bed (that can be made as a twin too, by removing the double topper) and a bathroom, with shower. An extra rollaway bed can be put in this suite
Rodia Suite is the largest suite. It has a king size bed and a bathroom on ground floor. An internal staircase leads to the 2nd bedroom in the upper floor, that is here too of loft style, with 'open' railings and same caution for young children should be taken. The 2nd bedroom has a king size bed (that can be made as a twin too, by removing the double topper) and a bathroom. There is no visual contact between the 2 bedrooms but if it to accommodate two couples, please do note that there is a low level of privacy.
Baby cots can be put in all 3 suites
The luxurious and atmospheric lounge area and kitchen, blissful chill-out pool, courtyard and garden give this luxury Crete villa the sense and scale of a boutique hotel, yet with total exclusivity and a array of pampering services to choose from.

BookThe Crete region
Crete is the largest and most populous of the Greek islands and the fifth largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. A well known destination, favored by many all around the world, because of its beautiful landscape consisting of approximately 1,000 kilometer-long coastline dotted with numerous coves, bays and peninsulas, which afford a multitude of soft, sandy magnificent beaches along the beautifully blue Mediterranean Sea, as well as other natural sightseeing, historical monuments, picturesque rural regions and beautiful modern cities.
The town of Chania where Athermigo villa is situated, provides on top of this a majestic old town, full of history and tradition, with amenities even for the most demanding visitors. One of the strongest elements that make visitors love their stay in Chania and Crete in general, is the great climate.
The Chania / Gavalochori area
A place of history, tradition, and natural beauty. Agios Pavlos, Crete, is a picturesque village in the centre of Apokoronas Peninsula, close to the villages of Vamos and
Douliana. Although it is a rural village, Gavalohori has good amenities for visitors, including taverns, cafés, a bakery, a mini market, and various stores. The village is very close to the magnificent beach of Almyrida and other sandy beaches.
The surrounding area, is equally interesting. The nature around the village is wonderful. You can make unforgettable walks in the footpaths around Gavalohori, in scenic landscapes of olive trees, carobs and bushes of herbs, while the historical monuments promise to indulge even the most demanding visitors.
