Casa Rosa sits quietly amongst 3 acres of lovingly landscaped grounds in Caprese Michleangelo - the birth home of the great artist, Michelangelo. This private holiday home is an independent stonehouse that has recently been beautifully restored to the highest standard and retaining its Tuscan charm, with wooden beams, terra cotta ceilings, chestnut doors and windows, terra cotta floors and a wood burning stove.
The house is designed for private, relaxing and comfortable living for all seasons.
Here, among the rolling Tuscan hills, you can explore the fields and streams bountiful with wild-life, chestnuts, walnuts, mushrooms, rare ferns and wild flowers. The famous and friendly Tuscan restaurant, 'Il Rifugio', which attracts patrons from Milan and Florence, is within a 5-minute walk of Casa Rosa.
The beautifully landscaped grounds that surround the house provide a peaceful and secluded retreat for relaxing and romantic getaways and the natural spring fountain on the property, just outside your front door, was a source of drinking water for the villagers in the old days. Now this fountain is a favorite gathering place for visitors at the house.
There are plenty of outdoor sitting areas where you can choose to spend the time with a bottle of wine, or sit under the grapevine covered pergola.
The house itself, is a charming Tuscan home on two levels. It is built with stone exterior walls, wooden beams, terra cotta ceilings, chestnut wooden doors and windows, terra cotta floors.
