The area is packed with good restaurants, bars and shops. Close to the Marina you can watch the yachts and boats sailing in and out. Behind the apartment is a very pleasant square, with of course more bars and shops including a hairdressers. The apartment is on the first floor with a very large private terrace, only the seagulls can see you! There is the option of closing the awnings and creating another room depending on the weather conditions.
The Dorada Bar has a pool open to the public and sun beds can be rented for 2€ per day. This is just a few minutes walk away opposite Hotel Sirocco

The apartment consists of 2 bedrooms, one with2 single beds and fitted wardrobe and the other with double bed and fitted wardrobe. Bathroom updated 2011, walk in shower, toilet, washbasin, and washing machine. The long passageway passes through to the lounge which is comfortable with 3 piece and occasional tables, TV and radio. The kitchen was replaced in 2011 and is open plan to the lounge, ceramic hob, sink with drainer, microwave and fridge with small freezer. The cupboards contain all you will need to prepare a meal to enjoy on the terrace. The large terrace has table and chairs and a small bar with stools to watch the world go by below.

The complex only has 22 apartments on 2 levels. Number 11 is on the upper floor on the end, therefore has the benefit of large windows to the side as well as the patio doors to the beautiful terrace. Smoking visitors please be kind enough to only smoke on the terrace.
Whilst towels are provided for the bathroom, please bring your own beach towels.

July and August a minimum of 2 weeks. shorter periods will be considered as late bookings. Special rates for rentals of 1 month or more. Can be flexible with change over days and times. If the change over is the same day as the next arrivals the period of 1100-1400 must be allocated to cleaning.

The Costa del Sol is renowned for the fantastic climate. It's very unusual not to be able to get out and about because of weather conditions. Being on the beach the ever changing sea is a joy to look at. The main bus route runs close by and buses are available to places like Mijas, Torremolinos and Malaga. Look at web sites of the local area to get as much information as you want.
The Benalmadena / Benalmadena Marina area
If you are familiar with Benalmadena you will appreciate how popular the Marina area is. Plenty of things to do during the day, apart from the beach. Take a boat trip from the Marina, rent a jet ski, take a ride on the tourist train. Visit Sealife and experience sharks and sting rays up close. The Exhibition centre is just behind the apartment and nearly always has something interesting to look at and the entrance is normally free. At night time the port area and 24 hour square are alive with young and old alike. Eating, drinking, listening to music and just soaking up the atmosphere of Spanish night life. If you prefer a quieter drink or meal try the attractive Plaza Olè which is behind the apartment, you will experience a friendly welcome from Jackie & Malcolm in Buddies. They are neighbours as well so can advise you about the area.

We spent 6 weeks here in February and March Before arriving in Spain communiction with the owners was good. On arrival they turned out to be really nice and helpful; a great start. A big bonus was that they had installed a new Sony TV and broadband The apartment is accessed through an attractive courtyard and loced gates mean that it is very secure. Inside it was clean and well maintained with everything you need. The only minor drawback is that the kitchen only has a two burner hob, which could be restrictive for a bigger family. The living room would be slightly cramped for a bigger family but was fine for 3 or 4 adults. Bedrooms were fine with comfortable beds. The bathroom was excellent with plenty hot water. My hard to pleease wife had no complaints with the washing machine. The fridge was roomy with a reasonable sized freezer compartment. The apartment is on the end of the block with windows in the gable. This gives plenty of light to all rooms unlike the other apartments in the block. Windows have shutters that would be a bonus in hot weather. A major bonus is the large veranda that is a sun trap that has lovely views over over the beach to the marina. While it is located above shops and restaurants, it is remarkably quiet even at busy times. We chose the period with the worst weather in years with a lot of rain. Despite this, in February and March we only had an oil-filled radiator on for about 5 hours in 6 weeks. What sets this apartment apart is its location. It is an easy stroll to shops, bars and restaurants. The nearby Supercor supermarket is open 24 hours a day and has a good selection of UK papers. The tourist office and bus booking kiosk is a 3-5 min stroll. The Bono ticket is well worth buying if you intend to do more than a couple of trips. It costs about 2 euros and reduces fares by about 70c to 1 euro for most trips. It covers more than one adult and speeds up boarding the bus. The lady in the kiosk is very helpful too. If you are over 60 and likely to use the train, buy a "Targeta D'Or" pass. This costs around 6 euros and gives a discount of around 40%, including the local line. all that you have to do is take your passport to a staffed station and you'll get one. It's valid for a year. We saved 16 euros each on a trip to Seville. All in all, this is a great wee apartment with helpful owners and a great location. You can't as for more |
