Agios Ioannis

Corfu is steeped in history both the Venetians and the British have occupied Corfu and you will still find much evidence of their architecture and rule here today. The cricket pitch in Corfu town is just one of the many interesting and quirky features. The town of Corfu (Kerkyra) impresses and charms the visitor with its two forts, narrow streets, tall houses, arcades, Venetian-built Town Hall, church to Saint Spyridon, the Corfu island's patron saint, flower-filled gardens, and balconies with their superb wrought-iron fences. Flooded with sights, Corfu is a small paradise on Earth. From Paleokastritsa to Kanoni, from the Achillion to Pontikonissi and the Corfu's northern coast, one will find crystal water scenic coves greenery and vegetation that 'sinks' into the deep blue sea. Sunny days, cool night breezes, friendly locals and fascinating history are just some of the memories that you will take home with you.

The villa is centrally situated to both east and west coast beaches, which are short drives away and both offer a variety of water sport activities. Paleokastritsa, one of the island’s best-known beauty spots, with crystal clear water and a 13th century Monastery is a 20 minutes drive. If you prefer to encounter a real Corfiot atmosphere the unspoilt village of Agious Ioannis is 5 minutes away with bars and restaurants used by both locals and tourists. Corfu Town was built between two fortresses during the Venetian rule and is one of the most beautiful, most impressive and interesting cities in Greece. The population of Corfu Town is about 30,000, and is quite cosmopolitan compared to other islands in Greece. It is an amazing mixture of old tavernas, new cafes, bars and clubs plus the beautiful old city protected by the two fortresses.
