SPECIAL NOTES
1. Chez Nous Berjou is offered as a tranquil retreat in a rural area and some of the facilities are old-fashioned. The the cottage is not intended to be luxury accommodation and this is reflected in the price.
2. This is a two-hundred-year-old stone cottage with many exposed beams, nooks and crannies and to avoid triggering allergies, toxic pesticides are not used indoors. For those reasons, no matter how carefully the cottage is cleaned, there are likely to be more spiders than in a modern house.
3. Although a television is provided for playing DVDs, there is no satellite and very poor terrestrial reception.
4. Heating is by two wood stoves and several small electric heaters. Firewood is provided in winter.
5. The stairs are quite steep and may not be suitable for people with mobility problems. A child gate is provided for the top of the stairs, but small children will need to be supervised carefully.
6. The original upstairs window is at floor-level, so small children will need to be supervised carefully.
PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING if any of the above could be a problem for you.
