Zihuatanejo de Azueta apartments: Rent holiday apartments in Zihuatanejo de Azueta
“Beautiful Penthouse close to everything.” We had an excellent stay at this wonderful pethouse condo. Located close to everything just up the hill from Playa la Ropa. The owners have furnished the condo beautifully and have not missed a thing. We were 3 adult couples and loved the spacious open floorplan. Walking distance to the beach, 5 minutes and to the town 15-20 minutes. There is a lot of walking up and down hills. That happens to be the charm of the Zihuatanejo area. If you need a taxi they are there immediately after your call and just a few dollars each way. We used them frequently for trips to the market and dinner out at restaurants. We loved the small town feel of the area. We cooked in for our Christmas day dinner and it was amazing with everything you need to cook up a family meal. We did all our food shopping at the covered market and the larger grocery store. The property was very secure with private elevator access to the condo. The maid came frequently to do laundry and tidy up the place. If you needed anything the propery management was readily available. You will love the two infinity pools on the property as well as the private dipping pool perched off the living room. Afternoon naps in the open-air living room overlooking the bay were wonderful. You really could just stay in and watch the sun rise and the day glide along and then the sun set and stars dot the sky. We enjoyed every part of our stay and know that this is a special property the owners enjoy just the same.
“Fabulous accommodation” What a great find. Lucky for us, we were able to take advantage of a last minute cancellation. It was perfect for our family with teenage daughters. While not on the beach, we enjoyed the lovely, tranquil environment, a short walk to town, taxis outside the front door, the friendliness of repeat long term guests. Loved the decor and the easy to use mod cons. The lanai was where we spent lots of time, shaded, perfect place to nap and where we ate all of our meals, played cards and drank margaritas till the wee hours. I would definately stay here again.
“Fantastic 1 bedroom condo” We had a wonderful week at the bvg marina condo in June 2012. The condo is fully equipped. We had a few minor problems, however these things happen and the way the property managers rectify the situation is was amazing. Hot water pilot light went out and there was no hot water. This was fixed within an hour. That was great service!!! Ixtapa felt safe and the condo property had additional security at the entrance allowing only guests to enter property.
“Wonderful Vacation week!” Our thanks to Peg and Sherwin for a wonderful stay in their gorgeous condo! I traveled with my 2 adult daughters, (girls trip!) and it was a perfect set up for us. We were met by Luis at the airport, and he was very helpful throughout the week with transportation, and setting up a fishing/boat trip to Ixtapa Island for snorkeling and lunch. He even stopped at the grocery store on the way from the airport so we could get some groceries. The condo is so spacious, and well appointed...plus the view is beyond gorgeous. Hard for pictures to do this place justice. Every morning was a thrill to wake up, get our coffee, and sit on the veranda and soak up the view. We were met by adrianna, one of the managers, and Rosario, the housekeeper, who had prepared guacamole, chips and refreshing iced tea for our arrival! Nice touch! Even a boquet of fresh flowers. We loved the nice authentic Mexican dish ware. The living space is very attractive, clean, comfortable bedrooms, beautifully decorated. I mean, who gets a tree in the middle of their house? So awesome! We each had our own bedroom and bathroom with rain shower heads and pebbled floors. We alternated between days by the pool, walking the 5 minutes down the alley to the lovely La Ropa beach, and checking out the town. We enjoyed spending the day at La Perla, who charged 50 pesos for an umbrella and lounge chair. Sherwin was very helpful answering any questions, recommending restaurants, and communicating with us before our trip. Everyone we encountered was very friendly. I would love to return with couples, or the rest of our family and would highly recommend this property to anyone! Many many thanks, Sherwin and Peg!
“Luxury Condo rental was awesome!!!” We fell in love with this condo & Ixtapa! This was the best Mexican holiday we have ever had! We will definitely return (unless we buy our own condo in the building!)The floor to ceiling windows in both the living room & bedroom are breathtaking views. The condo is exactly as pictured, beautiful décor, super clean, great layout & could easily accommodate 4 people due to 2 complete bathrooms with showers. Everything you need is provided-we really appreciated the owner's advice for where to shop & dine. The beach here is amazing-the best we have been to in Mexico! The beach at the marina end is far less crowded & has much whiter, finer sand. We were approached by only 10 vendors total in our entire stay! The beach is almost empty - most people at BVG Marina seemed to congregate at the pools & the all-inclusive hotels were far down the beach - we felt like we were on a private beach! The condo complex has a very reasonably priced pool bar that delivers to you on the beach or at the pool. The location of this condo is excellent! You can choose to dine at the marina or at the restaurants in the centre of Ixtapa. We walked to both areas for dinners and we felt completely safe even returning after 10 p.m. on foot. We even got really good thin-crust pizza delivered one night from Emilio's so we could enjoy that fantastic beach view, see the incredible stars, and listen to the roaring waves from our balcony on our last night. And we loved Zihuatanejo! We took a very reasonably priced taxi in 3 nights. If you go inland away from the bay about 3 blocks or more, you will find excellent Mexican restaurants at a fraction of the price anywhere else in Zihuatenejo or Ixtapa. The price for our flights, condo, buying groceries & wine, & going out for dinners was the same as if we stayed in one of the all-inclusives & ate "camp food" for a week. Do yourself a favor, rent this condo and enjoy everything Ixtapa and Zihuatenejo have to offer! We will definitely be back!
“Safe, clean, quiet and steps from beach.” The condo was clean and quiet with a beautiful pool. A short 200 yard walk to romantic restaurants and the breath taking Zihuatanejo beach. The condo has 24 hour security at the controlled gate entrance so it is exceedingly safe. A quick cab ride to all the shopping, sites and culture of downtown Zihuatanjo this condo balances seclusion and safety with convenience.
“Beautiful Ixtapa” The fun part of Ixtapa is that its a vacaion destination that offers a little something for everyone and this condo helped make it all perfect.
It's close to the bars, restaurants, shopping... you name it.
The pool is fantastic for those days when we didn't feel like heading to the beach and having traveled on a tight budget the in suite kitchen allowed us to cook some of our our meals to save money on restaurants...
Add to that the comforting "homey" decor and the amazing people and we couldn't have asked for more!
“A must for your next vacation!!” When we got to the place we could not believe how nice and spacious the apartment was. The three bedrooms are big and each one has a whole bathroom which makes it really comfortable. The master bedroom has a terrace with a wonderful view of La Ropa Beach. The kitchen is fully equipped and if you do not feel like cooking you can have a very nice lady come to the place and cook for you at a very affordable price for the quality of the food she serves. If you want to go as a couple, with other couples or with the whole family I definitely recommend it. The pool is very nice and the beach is walking distance. Definitely a 10!!!
“Everything we hoped it would be and were surprised when it actua” While we have visited many parts of Mexico over the years and on both sides,Zihuatanejo was our favorite. From the moment we stepped in the door of Casa d'Arte we knew it was going to be everything we hoped for. When renting over the internet and seeing photos of places, there's always that thought that the pictures were taken when the unit was brand new and will not really be like that any longer...not this place! We slept with the french doors of our room open every night of the two weeks we were there and felt completely safe. Waking up in the morning, seeing the view, crawling out of bed only to return to the huge patio/deck with a coffee was my favorite time of day.
We ate our lunches and dinners out most days and Hotel Catalina was by far our favorite! Elvira's had amazing margaritas and our first night in Zihua was an encounter with happy hour there. Unfortunately the next day we were told there was no longer happy hour because of it being high season??? No problem, we just slid over to Paty's where they had happy hour every night! It was a popular spot.
My husband and son went fishing with a local guide Their catch was cooked for them the next day at a restaurant on Las Gatas. We walked there along a well traveled path over the rocks and arrived on a extremely crowded and overrated beach, nothing worth returning twice for.
On New Years eve we were treated to a spectacular fireworks show held on the beach which we watched from the deck of Casa d'Arte.
We will be back!
