Properties on Holiday Lettings can be sorted/ranked in the following ways:
Orders properties using various data points, in particular: ratings, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, minimum number of nights, and data relating to the interest in/bookings of the property through us, including the advertiser’s rate of providing quotes to travellers who make enquiries. Other factors include price, property capacity, number of photographs, location, amenities, appearance in search results, page views, and the advertiser’s responsiveness and cancellation rate.
Price low to high / high to low
Orders properties based on either (i) the property’s minimum nightly price, if the traveller has searched without dates, or (ii) the average nightly price for the applicable week of the year, if the traveller has input dates.
Orders properties by total number of reviews attached to the listing (highest to lowest), irrespective of average score. Where there is a listing with the same number of reviews as another (or a listing with no reviews), properties are sorted according to their proximity to the searched location.
“A private paradise” Casa del Platero was the perfect place for our group of 6 australians to relax in Zihuatanejo. The house is in a quieter part of town, but only a stone's throw from the best strip of local beach. We walked into the busier part of town a few times (an easy 1/2 hour) and a taxi is only a few dollars. If you're interested in any "night life" the best you can do is Ixtapa which is a cab ride away. But this is more of a place to relax, not party.
The house itself is lovely. We rented the entire property so had two floors of ample space, with a few different living areas and comfortable bedrooms. There was a/C in two of the bedrooms and fans in the others. It did get very warm in the non-A/C rooms at night, but it was bearable. The best part was the infinity pool overlooking the ocean- a perfect place to start or end the day and take in the sunset. There are three bathrooms which was handy, although the showers were quite chilly.
Laco and Mirella are fantastic hosts who live in a separate dwelling at the back of the property. Laco took care of bookings and maintenance, while Mirella cleaned and made us the best breakfasts and dinners of the trip. I would highly recommend having her cook an authentic meal. They were always helpful but never intrusive.
The owner Melissa was great to communicate with and quick to respond. If you want to avoid the condos and have your own luxurious space, this is a wonderful place to stay. But keep in mind this is a Mexican beach, so be prepared to encounter mosquitoes, lizards and even crabs!
“On of the most beautiful views we have ever seen” Pictures can not do it justice. A beautiful place with an ourstanding view overlooking the entire Zihuatenjo Bay. Literally steps to the one of the most fantastic beaches. Everyday was the same as the next, just hit reset. Wonderful, freindly people everywhere. While there thry El Manglar Restaurant a 10 -15 minute walk down the hill on the beach.
We are booked here again already for next year...and will continue re-booking year after year.
