“Fantastic” If you have never been to St John or are a returning to paradise group you will not find a better villa or location to stay. I travel with my sisters and we love Calicaribe. We have been there twice[ to St John 7 times] and are going back for the third visit in June 2012. It has such beautiful views and a great pool but the best thing is the location. It is very private but so close to town. Everything you need is there. The bedrooms are very comfortable and private. We love Calicaribe because you go to the beach all day or hike the great trails and come back to the villa shower or enjoy the pool and still go back to town in the evening no problem!!! We have stayed at some great places but they are just to long of a drive to do this. We Love Calicaribe and I am sure you will to. We have found where you stay makes a big difference so you will find Calicaribe will make your stay very special. Have a great time... Penny Briggs

“Awesome view!” We had a great stay at Bliss. We loved the view and had everything we needed at the condo. We made great use of the beach chairs, boogie board, noodle and cooler for our long days at the beach. We only used it a couple times but it was nice to also have the option of the pool. Our two best days were sailing with Simplicity Charters and renting a Hobie at Cinnamon Beach. We will definitely be back to St. John.

“Laid Back Vacation Paradise” This was a wonderful vacation. When we got to the condo we found a clean, well stocked home base where we could relax, hang out, and enjoy a tropical drink or two between adventures around the island. It is located on the same property as the resort so it was easy to walk over to ask for assistance or grab a meal when we didn't want an evening out. The residents are friendly and the island small enough to navigate easily. We found some beach yoga classes, did some scuba diving and swimming, and a little shopping and sightseeing as well. All in all, a lovely relaxing vacation. The free wifi was great. All our cell phones had good service on the island except for the one Verizon phone but it was nice to also have the wifi option for the iPad.

“You'll Love the Beautiful Taj by-the-Sea” Taj by-the-Sea is a beautiful little palace overlooking the Caribbean Ocean where I've stayed on our annual family vacations for the past several years. It's impossible to get over the view each morning almost forgetting there was a whole Island to sight see. I wake up to a refreshing breeze with a quick & very safe jog to Shoreline Drive and breakfast watching the Princess & Carnival cruise liners come in to dock. The ships sailing in is so calming and relaxing. The afternoons included packing a basket of light snacks and a quaint walk to the beach so close by it was magnificent. I enjoyed watching the fish and sting rays in the clear blue water. The sand was soft and welcoming with such perfect weather. Included on the property is a garden of organic fruits and vegetables. Delicious mangoes, coconuts, soursops, breadfruit and more. We were welcome to enjoy eating and cooking the delectable healthy foods from the garden. After a dreamy day of sightseeing, I can't forget the beautiful skyline lighting up with the lights from the cruise liners. The moon reflecting on the ocean was also unforgettable. I felt like I was at a five star hotel all to ourselves. I highly recommend this Caribbean getaway with spectacular views and more. I will keep coming back. I look forward to bringing my daughter and introducing this exquisite little palace to friends and co-workers via Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram. Definitely worth experiencing the Beautiful Taj by-the-Sea.

“Wonderful Stay!” My husband and I stayed at this villa for a week during our honeymoon. We had stayed on St. Thomas earlier but we both agree that St. Johns is our favorite of the two islands! We greatly enjoyed our time at the villa and it looks just like the pictures. The private deck was our favorite spot of the home and it is a great place for morning breakfast/evening sunsets. At night you can sometimes even hear music from the Westin Resort far below. It is very peaceful. And the owner, Jacqueline, is wonderful! She met us at the ferry in Cruz Bay and drove us personally to her home. The drive up is quite an adventure but you will get used to it by the end of your stay! She also lives on site in the main house and was very welcoming. She is a great resource and will make sure you have everything you need. I highly recommend any of her rentals! One note: I recommend renting a 4 wheel drive car for your time on the island. It will give you the freedom to explore the island and great beaches - our favorite was Cinammon Beach. And a short drive down into town gives you plenty of options for restaurants and shopping. There is also a great grocery store near the villa that will have everything you need in case you want to make use of the grill and kitchen in the unit. Overall, our experience was wonderful and we would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

“Amazing Views & Beautiful Home!!!” My family of 6 were so comfortable in this amazing villa. Perched high upon the hills of Chocolate Hole affords this home breathtaking views during the day, gorgeous sunsets, and romantic twinkling skies at night. We will never forget seeing St. Croix and the cruise ships along the horizon, both looking bejeweled with sparkling diamonds. My husband loved the Weber grill. We had a couple of nights of surf and turf, stopping at the market on the way home from a day at the beach to create a delicious BBQ. This villa offered better views than any restaurant could and we found ourselves happier to eat dinner at "home!" Can't stop raving about St. John and Mar de amores! Thank you!

“Views out of this world” We enjoyed our stay at Mar de amores, the views are breathtaking, those evenings at the deck will be with us forever, the island life is such a nice experience,so easy going...Dining in town was wonderful and we also loved the beaches, Truk Bay was our favorite one.

“Breathtaking views and a great value on St. John” My family had a spectacular week staying at Heavenly Villas!! The view is jaw dropping!! On one side you can see all the boats in the harbor of Cruz Bay and the other side you overlook small islands and St. Thomas. The villa is very clean and well stocked with every kitchen item you would need. Beach towels, chairs and coolers were great to have for our daily trips to the beach. Loved the two new bathrooms and the large sliding doors that allowed you to see the amazing views when you were inside too. As a mother of four children (ages 6, 9, 10 & 11), I really appreciated the owners advice and brought down frozen meat to St. John in my checked luggage. Food is pricey and this was a great tip to keep things affordable. The barbecue was brand new and we grilled often. We also loved that the management company did all our food shopping for a $40 fee. The management company also met us at the ferry and took us directly to the villa. She was also able to answer any questions we had. My kids loved looking for the iguana "Elvis" every day. We went to the pool after the beach and always had the pool to ourselves. My husband I enjoyed our coffee in the am and cocktails in the pm at the bistro table. Felt like paradise!! One tip, we did rent a minivan since we are a large family but I would definitely rent a jeep the next time. The last turn into the villa is steep and our minivan had trouble when it was wet after the typical 5 minute morning shower. Favorite beaches were: Hawksnest & Francis (saw stingrays), Maho (saw sea turtles), Cinnamon (great for water sports, we rented paddleboards & kayaks), Waterlemon Cay & Salt Pond (most amazing snorkeling ever. Salt Pond is just a short hike and easier for smaller children), Honeymoon (stingrays). We also rented a dinghy from Noah's little ark for the day and got to see beaches that are harder to get to like Denis, Gibney & Jumbie.
