“Laid Back Vacation Paradise” This was a wonderful vacation. When we got to the condo we found a clean, well stocked home base where we could relax, hang out, and enjoy a tropical drink or two between adventures around the island. It is located on the same property as the resort so it was easy to walk over to ask for assistance or grab a meal when we didn't want an evening out. The residents are friendly and the island small enough to navigate easily. We found some beach yoga classes, did some scuba diving and swimming, and a little shopping and sightseeing as well. All in all, a lovely relaxing vacation. The free wifi was great. All our cell phones had good service on the island except for the one Verizon phone but it was nice to also have the wifi option for the iPad.

“Peaceful paradise” Our recent trip to St John was our third visit but our first time to stay at Chateau Margot. We found it to be a wonderdul facility, with plenty of privacy, a lot of room, well furnished and well maintained. It is high on the mountain so we had plenty of breezes and virtually no noise other than the birds. It is a big place with great amenities, loads of snorkel equipment, very nice deck, pool, grill and views. Access is a bit challenging but all driving on St John is pretty challenging. Great location for a large group with plenty of privacy for all with the separate buildings. Not far from Coral Bay which is as comfortable as it gets. Great villa in every way.

“Breathtaking views and a great value on St. John” My family had a spectacular week staying at Heavenly Villas!! The view is jaw dropping!! On one side you can see all the boats in the harbor of Cruz Bay and the other side you overlook small islands and St. Thomas. The villa is very clean and well stocked with every kitchen item you would need. Beach towels, chairs and coolers were great to have for our daily trips to the beach. Loved the two new bathrooms and the large sliding doors that allowed you to see the amazing views when you were inside too. As a mother of four children (ages 6, 9, 10 & 11), I really appreciated the owners advice and brought down frozen meat to St. John in my checked luggage. Food is pricey and this was a great tip to keep things affordable. The barbecue was brand new and we grilled often. We also loved that the management company did all our food shopping for a $40 fee. The management company also met us at the ferry and took us directly to the villa. She was also able to answer any questions we had. My kids loved looking for the iguana "Elvis" every day. We went to the pool after the beach and always had the pool to ourselves. My husband I enjoyed our coffee in the am and cocktails in the pm at the bistro table. Felt like paradise!! One tip, we did rent a minivan since we are a large family but I would definitely rent a jeep the next time. The last turn into the villa is steep and our minivan had trouble when it was wet after the typical 5 minute morning shower. Favorite beaches were: Hawksnest & Francis (saw stingrays), Maho (saw sea turtles), Cinnamon (great for water sports, we rented paddleboards & kayaks), Waterlemon Cay & Salt Pond (most amazing snorkeling ever. Salt Pond is just a short hike and easier for smaller children), Honeymoon (stingrays). We also rented a dinghy from Noah's little ark for the day and got to see beaches that are harder to get to like Denis, Gibney & Jumbie. Thank you Scott & Teri, for sharing your piece of paradise with us!!

“Home away from home” We have rented many vacation homes in many places and Drake's view is the first one we have honestly considered returning to. The location speaks for itself, and the details of the house in most of the previous reviews are spot on (the good ones at least). The management (Fernando and Dorothy) is very modern, efficient and friendly. Thank you for making our family vacation and my 48th birthday unforgettable.

“Such a Beautiful View - Built to Perfection” Stayed here with husband and two teenagers. Had a great time. Rick was so nice and helpful with suggestions/directing us around the island. The house was even more beautiful in person. The views are amazing! Infinity pool spectacular! Definitely need a jeep or large vehicle. Thanks Rick for everything!

“Heave on Earth” The travel to St. John from Minneapolis was terrible. We were exhausted by the time we arrived to the island and then encountered power outage island wide. By the time we go to the road and headed up, I thought, "what have I done?" With all that, I can honestly say that I would do double the travel to return to Mooncottage. It's better than the pictures. At least 100 times during the week, my husband said, "We have never stayed in a place that we had a tough time leaving for the beach." Each day, we'd have breakfast and decide which beach to go to and we found ourselves dragging those mornings later and later (to the point we couldn't find parking for beaches a few of the days). This place is pure magic. It is so private. The view is unreal. The attention to detail through every facet of this house is simply remarkable. You can feel the love and energy that was put into this tranquil home. This is a positive place. It was the best week of our lives. We never wanted to leave - we ate several dinners in, too, simply because we adored being there & with each other so very much. I can't say enough about this magical place that sits high atop the mountain, looking out on east end and Tortola ... there truly are no words, one must simply go to experience heaven on earth.
