“Great base for skiing holiday in Scheffau” We stayed here in half-term for our 5th skiing holiday to Scheffau. Property furnished to high standard and has everything you need for relaxed self-catering holiday. English speaking owner is on-site and very welcoming. Definitely recommend to friends & family. Conveniently located apartment close to gondola station - can walk (15-20 mins) but we used car and bus which stopped outside apartment. Local "Spa" and petrol station have good choice and village bakery is a real treat. Good selection of restaurants (pre-booking necessary in school hols) including pizza takeaway and reasonably priced fixed price menus. Outdoor heated swimming pool at Ellmau and taboganning/night skiing at Soll provide evening entertainment. This a great area for summer holidays also with lots of activities to chose from - lake swimming, white water rafting, hill walking, cycling. Munich airport -cheaper flights and car hire and transfer time not much longer than Innsbruck or Salzberg where flights are more expensive.
