“A totally relaxing stay in a large and comfortable house in a beautiful part of France” We (2 families with a teenager each) had a lovely stay at the property, which is very well equipped, spacious and comfortable. It is located in a sheltered spot at the end of a quiet, winding lane. We enjoyed the plums and figs from the trees surrounding the house, and watching the badgers who seem to live somewhere in the gully nearby. The spot is ideal for those who enjoy wildlife as we saw owls, red squirrels and even heard the sounds of a distant sanglier. The local area is wonderful for walking and fishing (permits from the tabac on the right side of the road as you enter St Pon). We enjoyed the local markets and restaurants and braved the rapids on the beautiful river Orb. There are plenty of maps and walking guides available at the house, thoughtfully provided by the owner. There is a renovation going on nearby but during the two weeks we were there we were not disturbed by the builders, who came by only once or twice. We all enjoyed the pool and hot tub and overall we would highly recommend the property.
