“The Perfect Apartment” The apartment looked good in the advertisement gallery and it was even better in the flesh. Set in a very modern complex, it was clean, spacious and very well equipped. I don't think there was anything a self-catering holiday-maker could want for in the apartment. Shubho, the proprietor, was very helpful and informative and only a phone call away when needed. He is resident in the complex too so any problems could be resolved in short order. Not that we had any problems, other than a misunderstanding of the entry sequence (our fault). The view from the apartment, albeit onto a central private garden area, was lovely. The gardens are tended on a daily basis and are very well kept. The only thing that might initially put people off is the location of the complex. It is on the south side of the Vistula and, on the map, does look quite far from the centre of Krakow. DO NOT let this put you off. There is a tram stop a very short walk from the complex and there are a number of trams which take you into the centre at a ridiculously cheap fare. Also, if coming from John Paul II Airport and on a budget, you can normally get a train which stops directly alongside the complex area. We were unaware when we booked but this was suspended due to modernisation when we visited. Once reinstated though it will be the perfect connection for a visit to Shubho's place! All in all, apart from Krakow being a beautiful city, Shubho's apartment is definitely one we will be keeping in mind for any future visits as it makes the stay just that little bit more special.
