“A confortable haven in the midst of a lush rainforest” This eco-friendly cottage is a home away from home, with all the amenities for a confortable stay in the midst of the forest: a well appointed kitchen, a nice bathroom with laundry facilities (washing machine and dryer), TV with DVD player and surround sound, airconditioning in bedroom, ceiling fans. The rooms are large and the verandah is charming. The cottage is located some 800 metres from a beach which is a paradise for fishermen, and close to Savusavu. There is a bus, but a private vehicle would be an advantage. Roy and Lisa were wonderful hosts. They provided us with snorkelling equipment, fishing lines and excellend movies to watch in the evening. The cottage is also full of very nice books. Roy performed for us a kava ceremony and Lisa brought fragrant gardenias and other flowers to the cottage, all collected from their excellently maintained property. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone who wishes to stay in Vanua Levu

“Absolute Paradise!” I was currently travelling the world at the time when my partner came out to Fiji to see me from the UK. It was a journey and a half for him- but it was totaly worth it. This place is so special and has the perfect balance of feeling luxury and having all the home comforts that you would need. The property has so much character, completely one of a kind. I really couldnt fault this place, and the memories of staying will stay with us both forever. Thanks Brad & Theresa who helped make our visit once of a lifetime! x

“Wonderful cottage to satisfy all your needs!!!” We arrived at the Bayside Bure on a rainy day, which happened to also be Fiji Day, and the town was all but shut down, besides a small store. We had a day and a half of traveling under our belt and in much need of a relaxing night with a beer in hand, and Edward was so kind enough to give us some!! That's how our week started out and it continued to get better! The kitchen was the most used room of the Bure by far! We did not want to eat out every meal, so this was a kitchen away from home, with all your utensils and anything else you could think of. We also like very much that the kitchen is separate from the living quarters of the Bure. Besides the constant use of the kitchen, we got a lot of use out of the kayak they had for us to use. They were also so kind and borrowed us a pair of snorkeling gear and we could go right off the shore in front of the Bure!! How amazing is that! We were very comfortable and pleased with our stay, more than we could put into words, and anyone that goes to Savusavu should check this place out! If we ever come back to Savusavu we know where we will be staying again!
