The last thing Ellen and Steve thought when they enjoyed a vacation in Costa Rica last December, was that they would come home the owners of a house in Tamarindo. These lifelong New Yorker's who have traveled the world, simply fell in love with this amazing beachside town, a special place where you can enjoy doing literally everything, or nothing at all. They lovingly renovated this home away from home, and now offer it to you to enjoy.

Just a 3 minute walk to the beach, this newly renovated 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath townhouse in a 24/7 gated community is perfect for families and groups. It comfortably sleeps 6, + 1 on the living room couch, and all rooms have a/c. You’ll have everything you need to enjoy your vacation in beautiful Tamarindo, including a fully equipped kitchen, flat screen TVs, wi-fi, all linens, and more. The main floor is an open concept with living room, kitchen, dining table that seats 6, 40” smart TV, 1/2 bath & patio with table, chairs. There’s even a washer & dryer for your use free of charge. 2 bedrooms with Queen beds are on next level, each with private bathroom & balcony. The Master Suite has a King bed, large bathroom with shower/tub, a/c, TV & balcony facing the pool. Housekeeping services are available. You can choose from a huge variety of restaurants, all in easy walking distance, take excursions for white water rafting, zip-lining, hiking, and more, or even watch turtles laying eggs on the beach at night. And when you’ve had enough activity for the day, just relax at Villa Verde 1’s private pool, surrounded by lush gardens.

Villa Verde I is an 18 unit, gated community, with a swimming pool and a 24/7 security guard. Located a short 3 minute walk from the beach and the center of a town full of interesting shops and fantastic restaurants. You will love how quiet the property is while still being close to all the action. A supermarket is 2 blocks away, where you can get all the essentials. Located about 10 minutes away (a $5 cab ride), a new movie theater is scheduled to open soon, that will show American films with Spanish subtitles. And don’t forget the mini-golf course, just up the hill, that serves great homemade ice cream. The main mode of transportation is flip-flops, as practically everything is within easy walking distance of our condo. Bicycles, ATV’s (and even horses!) are available to rent for recreational purposes. Taxis are reasonably priced and plentiful for airport transport and to take you on excursions. If you want to explore on your own, Alamo, Budget and Hertz all rent cars in the heart of town.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Ellen (the owner) a message.

If Ellen (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
