From the manager

Main level:

* Arched French doors lead from outside into a very large sitting room with sofas, billiard table at its center, fireplace and TV.

* On the right, there's the dining room and a well-equipped kitchen (dishwasher) opening towards the garden where there’s also a covered dining area (gazebo) and a solarium.

* On the left, there’s the access to the sleeping area developing on main level and loft.

Sleeping area main level:

* Single bedroom with adjacent bathroom (small shower, the pink marble bath is just a decor).

* Master bedroom suite with 2 single beds that can be joined and an en suite full bathroom (large shower). This bedroom is accessed both through the foregoing single bedroom and directly from the outside. The windows of this bedroom are equipped with mosquito nets.

Sleeping area loft:

* Second main bedroom with a double bed (not divisible). This bedroom overlooks the main-level single bedroom (no doors, just a low balustrade) and has an air-conditioning unit.

* Adjacent, there is a smaller, simply furnished single bedroom with a single bed (appropriate only for a child under 6 years, on request).

Please note:

The stairs leading to the loft are narrow making it necessary to carefully watch your steps as you go down. No bathroom available at the loft level, therefore it is necessary to use the bathroom downstairs and the night navigation could be not easy. In addition, the loft is not suitable for very tall people as the ceiling is quite low.

La Perla is a wonderfully situated semi-detached house, perched right on the shore of Lago Maggiore. It is a picturesque, excellently designed and furnished cottage with its private landing stage, manicured lawns and a view that only a few houses have to offer.

This accommodation is unique because it is situated far from the hubbub of the roads. As you may know, the lakes of Upper Italy are usually encircled by a lakeshore road. This house, however, is far away from the busy roads. Here you have direct access to the lake, only a few steps away from the house.

The house is built in the Mediterranean style: thick walls, shining terracotta floors, arched windows and doorways, white stucco exterior surrounded by lush tropical plantings. Originally designed and furnished for private use, the house offers the charm of a private domicile. The furnishings are of high quality, with spacious rooms and every comfort. Three doors lead from the house into the garden. The well-kept, carpet-like lawn and spacious garden extends from the villa to the lake and the private landing stage, and lawn furniture is provided for enjoying the sun or dining al fresco.

La Perla is located in an exclusive gated community; the villas on this area can be accessed only via a private access road with entrance gate. Peace and tranquility are guaranteed here. The property is made up of two wings connected by a courtyard. The friendly, English-speaking owner lives in one wing and will do everything possible to help you enjoy your stay without intruding.

La Perla is a quaint, intimate accomodation that is full of charm and is ideal for a honeymoon couple, two couples traveling together, or a family with children.

The location is peaceful and private, yet remarkably convenient. All of the essential amenities and services (restaurants, cafés, supermarket, bakery, post office, bank, hair dresser and bus stop) are within walking distance (10 minutes).

The nearest village is Solcio (approx. 400 m) with a grocery store and a 3 star restaurant. A pedestrian route behind the house offers a panoramic view of Lake Maggiore and leads to the nearby town of Lesa (5 minutes). The ancient town of Stresa, once one of Italy's noblest spas, is just 8 km north. 5 km from the house, there is the boat club of Stresa, where you can lend a boat (sailing boat, motor boat) and do water skiing.

A sports club with tennis courts, sauna, steam bath, fitness centre and a pool is a 10-minute walk from the villa and can be used by guests for a daily or weekly fee. Two golf courses are located within 10-15 minutes' drive, with several more less than an hour away. The ferry to the other lake towns and islands docks at Belgirate (10 minutes walk). Ferry boats go regularly to the three picturesque Borromean Islands: Isola Madre, Isola Bella, and Isola dei Pescatori.
