Fully renovated flat while still retaining its traditional Italian charm is situated in the heart of historic center of Scalea. The flat is on the 2 floor of the building of 13 century just in 100 meters from central panoramic square Cimalonga of old town of Scalea.

The elevated position of the house gives it wonderful panoramic views of the mountains, sea and across the town, while being only minutes' walk from the town's restaurants, cafes and beach. The distance to the sea is about 800 meters, the modern city center is just 400 meters from the house.

The apartment can accommodates up to 8 persons. It consists of living room with a double sofa bed, 2 bedroms with double sofa beds, a dining room (with double sofa bed) with fully equiped kithchen, bathroom with the shower.

There is free parking area about 100 meters from the building.

Scalea.

On the northern tip of Calabria, along the west coast the seaside resort of Scalea, one of the largest towns in the area offers a warm Calabrian welcome. The town is home to just over 10,000 people but swells with tourists in the summer. Almost 7 km of lidos line the beach from Scalea to Santa Maria del Cedro, with plenty of beach activity and entertainment during the day and evening.

The climate here is amongst the best in the Mediterranean with long hot summers and very short mild winters. Which means that for 9 months of the year Scalea stays over 20 degrees C.

The town, originally just a small village on the hillside close to the beach with quaint narrow streets and typically old style Italian housing is still thriving with many investors choosing the character of old Italy and renovating those antique buildings.

Scalea boasts many fine restaurants with fresh fish a big part of the diet and offering along with traditional pasta dishes. The local wine is a fine brew, either red or white and with most of the menu locally grown, reared or brewed the prices are very competitive and easy on the pocket.

Scalea's old town is a magnet to investors who search for the charm of old Italy and a piece of Italian history. Characteristically, a maze of narrow streets and honeycombed network of houses, Scalea's old town is no different. Overlooked by a Norman castle, centro storico winds down from the hillside above Scalea to the main town and beach area. With several piazzas and restaurants knitted into the steps and streets all easily navigated on foot.

Scalea's centro storico dates back to the 11th century and possesses many historic buildings including the prince's palace, several churches and a tomb said to have the bones of saints inside. The views from the old town are spectacular and on a clear day the isle of Stromboli can be seen from the high piazzas. A museum of the town's artefacts is part of piazza Cimalonga. The museum was the old town's prison in days gone by. So if you are looking for a piece of Italian history then you would do no better than to start your search here, in Scalea's old town.
