Authentic 12th century Templar Castle set on more than 11 acres of fossil rich land, in the heart of Haute Provence.

Secluded on its own knoll, yet only 100 km from Nice and the Cote d'Azur, and two kilometres from the town of Saint Andre les Alpes, come and enjoy total luxury, in our officially rated five-star apartments. Ideal for three to four families, the castle boasts a large 14m x 7m heated private pool overlooking the lake, an inbuilt BBQ and plenty of space to enjoy.

Within the château are three luxurious independent apartments, each with its own kitchen, living room,and six luxurious bathrooms. On the grounds of the Château stands the medieval church dedicated to Saint Martin, amid the ruins of houses that have blended with the wild limestone landscape.

The château itself is divided into three apartments, each with a fully-equipped and spacious kitchen.

Apartment Saint Paul has one bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen and a salon, ideal for a romantic getaway. Can accommodate up to 3 adults and one child. Decorated in a very Provencal style

Apartment Saint Pierre has two bedrooms, two en suite bathrooms, a salon and kitchen and accommodates up to five adults and one child. Decorated in a very Provencal style

Apartment Saint Jean with two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen, salon, and TV room and will comfortably house eight people ~ and the exquisite details such as onyx wash basins, a marble tub and canopy beds will help to make one's stay just superb.

A free access to a high speed wireless internet access is also provided.

The swimming pool, surrounded by natural stone pavement, overlooks the turquoise water of the Lake of Castillon, and is surrounded by the high mountains of Haute Provence.

“Fantastic location, let down in the detail”

Absolutely great location if you like solitude, which we do. We stayed in two of the three apartments but were let down with the facilities. We wanted to enjoy freshly cooked produce and relax by the pool. Our apartment only had a microwave and our friends, who had the larger apartment with the only cooker could not get it working. We called out the handyman. Water from taps is undrinkable, sulphur content high so had to buy gallons of fresh, did not see this in literature until arrival. The pool looks great but even though I checked beforehand about the heating it did not work. Consequently, a very cold pool and limited bathing, none for the ladies. A real let down. Offered a reduction on any future bookings but prefered a gesture on this occasion - none given. Will not return or recommend.

Owner's reply: Renter asked for a discount upon the booking which was provided. Once there, we did our utmost to satisfy this renter, however he was only interested in a further discounted rate and as such was looking for any small detail to complain. We suffered a power outage which tripped the pool heater, but he was unwilling to understand the exceptional circumstances. This was the first and last complaint we got from our guests.
