Domaine Tournesol is a stylish and tastefully decorated gite with large illuminated private pool and gardens with views of the stunning Pyrenees.
Set in the Madiran wine growing region of SW France 'Domaine Tournesol is a original old wine farm that has been sympathetically renovated by the owners who endeavored to retain as much of the traditional design as possible, this has been combined with a high level of comfort which will appeal to the discerning traveller.
This fully equipped property.includes oven, hob, microwave, fridge dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, iron & ironing board. The open plan dinning room / lounge is equipped with surround sound T.V & D.V.D player. We are also WI-FI enabled.
There is a beamed double bedroom and a further twin room, a separate shower room and toilet.
Fresh linen, towels & pool towels are provided on a weekly basis.
On arrival a welcome pack including a bottle of great tasting local wine will be waiting in the gite for you.
There is a large private walled garden complete with al-fresco dining facilities & BBQ.
Domaine Tournesol is ideally located for stage 18 Pau/Hautacam and stage 19 Maubourguet/Bergerac of the 2014 Tour de France.

The Bearn region
There is nowhere on the map officially called 'Southwest France'. But this is a large and fascinating corner of the country with an extraordinarily varied landscape: there are lushly wooded river valleys, vertiginous gorges, lakes, icy mountain tops, beaches, bays outsize sand dunes undulating fields or ripening sunflowers, maize and endless vineyards.
This varied landscape is dotted with shuttered villages sleeping in the sun and yet the more vibrant cities of Toulouse, Bordeaux and Pau are all within easy reach of your accommodation.
The region is steeped in history with its fine Chateaus and Bastides towns and this together with the breath-taking scenery, diverse wildlife, flora and fauna and many outdoor pursuits make this an ideal holiday destination for families and experienced travellers alike.
Nameless it maybe, but Southwest France lacks nothing else.
Crouseilles is nestled in rolling countryside filled with vineyards and fields of vivid sunflowers and towering maize. and yet despite its tranquil setting the area offers some great days out with numerous local and international festivals.
For those amongst you who enjoy walking and cycling then you will find numerous quite leafy lanes where tractors are the only traffic you are likely to encounter. Canoeing, kayaking are both available locally if however you want something more exhilarating white water rafting is available in the Lourdes area, a town more famous for Bernadette's vision of 'The Lady in White' in 1858.
Tennis and a open air pool can be found in Madiran, along with its Norman Church, bar and exclusive restaurant. Horse riding is also available locally.Further a field a 18 hole golf course is just a 30min drive away.
Enjoy the local food including Fois Gras and Brebis cheese at the numerous restaurants in the area, or simply drop into one of the many Chateau's to sample the local wines.
Take time out to visit one of the numerous local fetes or the two week international Jazz festival at Marciac with hosts an impressive line up of world famous artists. If you prefer Latin dance or Country and Western music summer events are also held in the area.
Find time to visit the beautiful and historic city of Pau with its museum's, churches, chateau and chic boutiques., or simply enjoy coffee at one of the many street cafes.
