Rocky Ridge Cottage has the convenience of all of the attractions in the area as well as offering a secluded escape in the country side. Perfect for couples, business trips or families, Rocky Ridge cottage is elevated and nestled in private bush land allowing views over the ocean from afar as well as views expanding out towards the rolling countryside, native bush, nearby steep mountains and the Kahurangi National Park. Enjoy a glass of wine on your private deck whilst you take in the view. Rocky Ridge Cottage offers privacy like no other. The hosts are located out of sight 60 meters away and there are no close neighbors to interrupt your holiday. Light the fire inside or sit around the out door fire while watching the sunset or star gazing. Enjoy an outdoor bath while taking in the magnificent views around you. Rocky Ridge cottage is a clean and comfortable home away from home. It is fully self contained, giving you the option to bring your own fresh food to prepare or visit the local restaurants if you prefer. Once you arrive you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the amazing 360 degree views that surround you . The start of the Rameka Bike Trail is only 1 km from the cottage via access through the farm. This option will take you to the bottom of the track where you follow the Rameka Creek road to the top of the trail. The Rawhiti Cave track is located just a 2 minute drive or 20 minute walk from Rocky Ridge Cottage. Ligar Bay and Tata Beach are a 15 minute drive from Rocky Ridge Cottage. Ligar Bay is a perfect spot for young families as the ocean has shallow water and great barbeque areas. Golden Bay is a great holiday location for those interested in the outdoors, arts and craft, relaxing, craft beer, fishing and more. Why can't I call Jean (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Jean (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jean (the owner) a message.

If Jean (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
