Let the Ferguson House provide vacation lodging for your mountain escape. We can sleep 2 - 9 people in comfort. Allow the peace and tranquility of the Smoky Mountains to embrace you from the Ferguson House’s warm knotty pine interior, its front porch or its spacious back terrace extensively landscaped to include a babbling waterfall, fire pit and hot tub. We offer outdoor dining with 2 tables with chairs accommodating up to 10 people. We are motorcycle friendly and welcome riders that want to ride and enjoy the beauty of the area on two wheels. Trailer storage is available. There is covered parking available as well in two car carport.

We have 4 bedrooms with 3, queen beds and one bunk-bed room with a double on the bottom and twin on top. There are two full baths. The home has hardwood floors throughout except in the bathrooms and sun room where they have ceramic tile flooring. There is one large, flat screen TV with DVD player in the living room and another flat screen TV in one bedroom. The open kitchen and hearth room has a gas log wood stove for enjoyment on cool mornings or on winter days. The sun room is my favorite room of the house where you are wrapped in windows that let the sun in as you enjoy the beauty of the landscaped terrace and waterfall. This is a non-smoking home. Pets are not allowed.

We are open year round and conveniently located on the valley floor providing easy access winter, spring, summer and fall. We are 40 minutes from Asheville, 7 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway which will take you to the Great Smoky Mountain Park, Gatlinburg and Cherokee. We are motorcycle friendly with paved streets, covered parking, 2 miles from Wheels Through Time Museum and just yards away from riding! We are 1 mile from the Maggie Valley Country Club for golf, tennis and swimming. We are 7 miles from Cataloochee Ski and 5 miles from Tony's Tubing.

Nestled in the heart of picturesque Maggie Valley, North Carolina, this inviting mountain cottage offers the best amenities available in a vacation rental. Hearing that our home met your needs is a wonderful endorsement. We try to be meticulous in the care and upkeep of our home. The location of the home and convenience and ease of access is beneficial to most. This home is not for everyone. If you want to be up on a mountain top with long range views there are many wonderful properties to rent. The businesses that you mentioned are the owner's businesses. When we purchased the property we were looking for a place for Beth's photography studio and another for Ken's "home" office. This seemed like the perfect place. So instead of using the Ferguson House as our own we decided to use it as a rental property. It is a gem of a house with wonderful memories made from the Ferguson family and now from many vacationers who have made fun and lasting memories over the last 12 years. We appreciate all of our guests and their comments and we look forward to your return.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Beth (the owner) a message.

If Beth (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
